A long time ago, when the ipod video just came out, I went to the apple store to exchange a lower capacity ipod for the higher one. I don't recall what the numbers where. It was without a receipt, new, I don't even know if it was bought at the store either. I remember the cashier did some scanning and asked me if it was bought there and I said, "I don't know". I think maybe he scanned the serial and it didn't show up or something. I called and asked if I could exchange it but whoever I talked to said no. I went and tried anyway and got the exchange fine. I don't know how it would work with an outdated product, but it doesn't hurt to try I guess.

But What if.....

But what if i bought it at Costco, then traded in my iPod Touch 1G for a new one at the Apple retail store for a new one because my old on broke then i just returned it there......and it happened August 15........

If i go to my local Apple Retail Store and ask them if i can trade my iPod Touch 1G to be traded for a 2G and tell them my serial number, then am i all set....will they accept it.....

someone please reply to this!
