Today was the US Gov't Exam...anyone else take it?

I thought the MC's were kinda difficult, but the essays were really really easy. :)

I took it. I'm also sick, so my essays were.. less than... OK.

I MANAGED TO QUOTE THE DAILY SHOW WITHOUT KNOWING IT.
I used the word truthiness... Ooops.

The one essay let me write about the Federal Reserve. It was my longest one. A whole page and a half! :gasp:

I had no idea of what i was doing. I fell asleep DURING the multiple choice. I woke up with sleep lines from my sweatshirt and with dots from the scantron on my forehead...

My friend illustrated each essay question after writing it on the facing page. One was a dinosaur, the other a map of America, and another a bad dollar bill, and another one, I think. IN HIS PINK ANSWER BOOKLET. But, he's brilliant and will probably get a 5, even though he did that. :D hehe

wow hahaha. My teacher has a list of quotes that he's accumulated from odd or wrong quotes from AP essays he graded that are humorous which he reads outloud to his classes (thankfully withholding their names), let's just say you're rather lucky he won't be getting yours since he's not going this year..;)

Oh... I also said that senate debates go WILD AND FREE. (no, really. I did)

I just wanted to finish. I just stopped caring at that point. My head was about to explode.

dude that DBQ was rediculous. I never listened too much about women that were important, so all of those people like Abigail Adams and stuff, i might not even recognize their name let alone know what they did! They had so many questions about people on the MC, that was hard too. Oy vey, that DBQ... what regular essays did you do? I took 2 and 5.

me too. my exam was a bit of a fiasco though. let's just say my table mate wasn't entirely honest, and got caught. bad situation. :(

US Government:

MC wasn't too bad, essays were indeed downright easy.

I wrote a page and a half (a page being the front only) on the 1st and 3rd, two and a quarter pages on the 2nd, and a page and a quarter on the 4th. I could not, for the life of me, think of a House power until I had about seven minutes left; other than that I fairly enjoyed it. I was the least prepared for it, or so I thought, and I think that it was the best one for me for the year. I found myself referencing somewhat random examples throughout history to prove my points; I talked about the election of Rutherford B. Hayes at one point and James Madison's Federalist papers somewhere else.

I was expecting a full essay question on some particular court case, and a lot more MC questions on court cases and/or particular pieces of legislation. Thank god I wasn't right! :)

EDIT katie_ta_achoo, that's awesome that you actually used the word truthiness. I have more respect for you right now than anybody else on MR.

Hello to all of the Physics B people! I think that, of the AP tests I've taken so far (above, minus Psychology, plus World History), the multiple choice on the Physics was the easiest. And, you have to love that little hint they gave you with the number of people in your Physics class for one of the free response questions...

I've a few questions to those who have taken the tests and moved on to college with credit. What were your scores? What college do you go to?
-Chasen

took 6 AP tests when i was in high school and got no credit.

to get credit, you first had to get a 5 on the AP test. Then, if you got a 5, then you had to take a placement test issued by the school. If you don't do well enough on that test, you get placed in a special class that is harder than the normal intro class, but credit-wize is still worth the same.

the only test they took straight up was calculus BC. I accidentally (don't ask me how) skipped an entire free response question and got a 4    .

sigh... AP's do not bring back good memories.

Yeah...I was expecting more court cases too.

You wrote alot on the essays...wow. I wrote just over a page and a half for most of them.

I WAS SO HAPPY when the court cases weren't on the essay.
I turned in my gov't book already because I forgot I was taking it, and I managed to leave my AP practice book in a friend's car, so I didn't study. At all.
I still feel strangely OK about it.

Let the takeover of MR with the word "truthiness" begin!
I believe the sentence was, "No amount of truthiness from the media could cover up the lack of a bicameral legislature."

I'm so full of it.

Anyone taken/taking SAT II World History?

Thank god. I'm so over APs right now.

-AP English Language
-AP Spanish Language
-AP U.S. History

-SAT II U.S. History
-SAT II Spanish Language

Overall, I found English to be the hardest (what was with that second prompt?), followed by Spanish (nailed the speaking, flunked the listening), and easiest was U.S. History.

The SAT IIs were IMO a joke, especially history. Now, I've got to study for my June SAT II World History. Anybody taking that one? (I did AP Euro last year- should have taken it right afterwards)

Basically, the whole quoted part of that post made me laugh hilariously, and in a "with you" way rather than an "at you" way.
