The issue (first world problem) that I have with application is, I don’t like the way it sorts pictures. Is it a way to get it in “media gallery” view like the official Reddit app? This is the view I like to view certain subs in. I don’t like having one big picture for each post and having to continuously scroll down.

In the Official Reddit app, if you tap on an image, it enters on a sort of gallery mode where you can swipe between all the images or videos, of the subs you have on your home page. For instance, if you follow several pet-related subreddits, on your home tab you can tap on the first cat picture and you will see only this picture, bigger, and then you can start swiping left/right to see the next/previous picture, video, or gif.

That gallery mode, or the one you say @nfl46, would be nice additions for the app, specially for the iPad version coming with the V2.0.

It was supposed to be coming over a year ago, but I guess the developer pushed it back.

After the bait and switch he pulled to people that already paid I want nothing to with someone who is either that naive, a liar, or both...

I ever reported him for charging for a system service(which he is still in violation of) and Apple did take the app down for a day so I had fun on the way out. :)

This app is insanely good.

I will never understand programming, 1 guy can build an app that is more intuitive, pleasant, and stable that a multi-million/billion corporation.

It‘s easier to steer a small boat than a huge ship.

80% of my web time is spent on Reddit/Apollo. Totally worth a few bucks to keep this going.

A great app, and Christian is doing a great job handling the very vocal and demanding Apollo community. It's always a surprise to me how some always push and push for the next version and the next big feature and bug fix, putting pressure on the developer. It's a reddit client, it won't hurt you living with that small bug for a bit.

Smart rotation lock is the best thing ever, more apps should take note. In fact, Apple should take note, it would be great with a system-wide override for rotation lock that only applies in the media viewer.

Thank you for all the kind words everyone. 🥰 Really glad you like the update, 1.9 and 2.0 (big ol iPad update) have some really awesome stuff planned too, can't wait to show ya.

Well done, Purple Man. Can't wait to for the iPad update :)

I’ve written posts and comments on the sub, several times, me and other users. Only replied once, asking me for details, I gave him lots of details with screenshots and a fairly large post, and that post never got a reply... And I understand it, he has tons of mentions daily (many of them useless). I hope he read it, but anyways I was thinking in sending him a DM or an email if it isn’t fixed soon.

Believe me, I would like those issues to be addressed, as it is my main Reddit app.

Did you submit a big report in github? That is where the app points you if you go to Settings > About > Bug Reports.

huge fan of this app - purchased Ultimate the day it was offered! I will say that 1.8 has a number of bugs but it's a huge overhaul and i'm quite happy with most of it. Haven't noticed bigger batter drain but will pay attention to that - it's the most used app on my phone by far, so it would be hard to tell...

I’ve been toying around with it but I think you have to have a Github account right? Also I saw there are hundreds of reports, mine could get lost in that sea... I prefer to directly contact the dev, as this is a bug on a basic functionality such as DMs and replies notifications.

Anyway he has said he’s aware of it so I will wait to see if it’s fixed on the next big update. Isn’t the sub a good place to talk about the bugs and things that doesn’t work properly? I mean I see a lot of useless posts with jokes about how Apollo is superior, icons that we all know they won’t get to the app, or those just saying “I purchased ultra today”. I think a post talking about something that doesn’t work is 100times more useful for the developer and the users, if they want the app to work like a clock.

Definitely, it is a great idea.

Great app but not worth having to pay a subscription fee just to enable notifications.
Because maintaining a server is an ongoing cost for the developer. For a free app, the costs need to be recouped somewhere.

I think Reddit will kill it at some point. Either by significantly limit number of API calls via pricing or quota, or they would now allow APIs to interact some of the features such as Chat.
