I have an invisible shield on my iPod Touch. It's been there for over a year. It has done a fantastic job of protecting my screen. I know that because I can see the scratches, streaks and scuff marks that are on it instead of on my screen.

Regardless of what ZAGG says... it does scratch and scuff.

WOW, what a classic post by OP. Hahahha, my favorite post in a while. Tagged....word, hahahahahahhahahaha, first ever time I used this term, but this is failsauce!

I see this logic quite a bit. Not to be difficult - but just because the screen protector gets scratched does NOT mean the same scratch would be on the Apple screen had the screen protector not been there...

Screen protectors scratch much easier than the actual phone screen.

I guess we need to get two iPod Touches to test this out. One will have the ZAGG screen protector... the other will go naked. I'll wear them both on my right arm for a year and see how they do.

Yes, a screen protector can scratch easier than the iPhone screen.

Thing is, when the BIG scratch happens, it does protect the iPhone screen and all I have to do is peel off the damaged screen protector and apply a new one. Much easier then purchasing and replacing the glass.

Also, for me, anti-glare screen protectors protect more than the screen. They protect my sanity when it comes to finger prints.

The problem here is not with the screen protector, but with the Apple iPhone 4 screen being so fragile. Sure it is a beautiful screen without any protector. Any protector is going to diminish the quality and feel of the naked screen.

As for the Zagg bashing all I can say is that I am happy with my front screen shield. I know if it scratches or comes off then they will replace it for the lifetime of my iPhone. That is what I call service. Maybe that is why it is a little more expensive than other brands out there.

Before I installed the Zagg I tried 5 dry screen protectors which were actually hopeless. They had bubbles which I was unable to get rid of, and the screen looked crap. Not only that after a small amount of use in my pocket they just fell off. Sure the Zagg screen protector feels a little rubbery, but I can live with that, knowing my screen is safe. People I show my iPhone 4 to never even mention or ask if I have a screen protector on it, they are still impressed by the phone.

I guess it is all down to personal taste. My view is that Apple should not market their product's screen as been tough and made out of glass used in helicopters. Maybe it is used in helicopters, but if you are using your phone without any protection then be sure not to drop it or carry it in your pocket with anything that might scratch the screen.

I like my zagg full body shield (front, back, and sides) It is much more slick now after a few weeks of use...and I only see the orange peel effect if I hold the phone at really wierd angles so that does not bother me. I like that it is nice and thick and I know my case won't scratch my phone should some dirt get between my case and the phone :)

But truth be told I got it 40% off with a coupon as I don't think any skin is worth $30
