1Password, expensive only relative to the masses of cheap apps out there. With 1P you get what you pay for and this one is worth every penny.

Plus, paying a reasonable amount for an app that does a job as important as keeping your secrets safe keeps the company in business....and the AgileBits development team is very active with updates/improvements/support.

(I'm not affiliated with them, just a happy customer who values their ability to keep the good work going).

Evernote. Free and can set a passcode. Plus it'll upload your notes to their cloud service for backup.

You can't set a password on Evernote unless you have a subscription.

Awesome note syncs to Evernote if you want it to, but you it doesn't sync individual passwords for folders.

Another happy camper with 1Password here. Like others I'm using it for some notes beside passwords. The less sensitive stuff goes to Evernote.

You can password protect folders in Goodreader.

I also use 1password for passwords, but for sensitive documents I use Goodreader folders.

WHAT IN THE HELL is wrong with all the people not already using it for its other features as well?

Nothing's "wrong" in either case. If you don't like a suggestion then skip it.

My comment stems from the fact that I'm probably the only person in the world who didn't like 1Password. I know everyone else loves it, but I tried it for awhile and found it annoying and difficult to use.

It may be secure, but if software is frustrating you eventually start to avoid it. And that's just as secure as not having it in the first place.

I started using Note Lock free
