I am still pretty new to Macs and OS X, so I don't know if this situation is normal or not. When I install a application (any app) and the icon shows up in the Application folder, the icon is always sort of greyed out and has the international symbol of a circle with a slash through it. The way I get around this is to then drag the app icon to the desktop (which then shows the proper icon without the slash) and then back into the Applications folder.
Normal or not normal? If not normal, any idea how to correct this situation. For background info, I am on a refurbed iMac 21.5 that I have only had for a couple weeks and it came already loaded. It has the latest OS updates.
