This post is screwing with the MacRumors page, it extends way off the page on iOS.

Irrational?

I'm just going to get all of the irrational comments out of the way before anybody else does:

  1. Steve Jobs is rolling in his urn!
  2. This never would have happened if Steve Jobs were alive!
  3. Really, Apple? Really?! Wow, just... Wow.
  4. Further proof Apple has gone downhill.
  5. Figures, more articles on iOS and nothing about any new Macs coming out.
  6. (Something about how awesome Android is.)

Did I miss anything?

Yeah it's really irrational and stupid to be upset that a streaming box can't stream the proprietary Media content that you bought the damn box for... Yeah, completely irrational to be irritated.

All fine here, in the UK.
Is it just the US store that is causing problems?

Workaround

I deleted the Skype 4.x app and then went to the App store and downloaded 5.0. Everything download ok and Skype is now installed.

Of course, since I deleted the 4.x app, I had to re-enter username/password again. Both other than that, all is good. :)

You're holding it wrong
Apple is doomed
iTunes store feels snappier
All the profits
It just works

Apple System Status page does not show the stores to be down.

One can only conclude from this that those for whom they are down are bad people who are being punished for something!

 :p

What? Like blackmailers?

:p

I can't do hardly anything on iTunes. I find it really annoying that their service status page makes no indication of trouble. There's something very wrong about that...

Down for me. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1402604424.053886.jpg

This is so frustrating. Trying to watch a TV show right now but Apple TV says ready to play in 64 hours.

Apple's iTunes Store and App Store appear to be down for many users on both iOS devices and desktops, with attempts to access the stores resulting in one of several error messages such as "Cannot Connect to App Store" and "The item you've requested is not currently available in the U.S. store."

Issues seem to have begun this morning, as several users noted an inability to download the Skype app following its release. Some users attempting to download the app received a message indicating the app was no longer available for download.

The iTunes Store does not appear to be loading content for affected users, with the Music, Movies, TV Shows Books, App Store, and Podcasts section of iTunes all giving error messages. Search remains functional on the desktop, however.

For the App Store, some users are having trouble loading multiple sections, including Featured, Top Charts, and Near Me, while other users are able to access certain sections like Top Charts. The Purchased and Update tabs appear functional, with the Purchased tab able to download apps. Search is down on the App Store on iOS devices.

The Apple TV also appears to be experiencing issues, with the Movies and TV sections missing and inaccessible.

Apple's System Status page is not currently reporting any outages.

I found that by "restarting" my Apple TV I could correct the problem

Same here. Came here this morning to see if any notices were on the main page, there weren't yet.

Called Apple, they knew about it even though they are not showing an outage. They said it was affecting "all locations and areas of service" and that there "is no ETA for a fix".

Great.

I thought it was punishment for using Amazon Prime Music service at first, haha.

I can work around the issues ATM on all devices but the ATV, I can still search and download and view top ranked pages on all other options.

You forgot "Apple is Doomed". ;)

Still No Uploads

I ripped several CDs this last weekend and today. None of them have uploaded into iTunes Match.
