My Apple Music playlist was working fine for me during the outage...it's streamed, not downloaded.
AWS or CDN can also be downThis is why we should be able to download apps from any source.
It always blows my mind that a company of this size does not have redundancies in place to prevent something like that.
Yep, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Threads too.Quite a few services, not just Apple, have been down today.
It actually makes perfect sense why an online service with more users and more server locations would be more prone to outages. It always blows my mind that a company of this size does not have redundancies in place to prevent something like that.
a company of this size makes switching to redundancies hard to do.It always blows my mind that a company of this size does not have redundancies in place to prevent something like that.
Last week, Amazon deployed an "update" that was killing our internal VPN every 55 minutes. Most likely issue is with AWS. I’ve had some socket hang ups today with them and explains why many other services affected.
Au contrair, a company this size should have automatic monitoring and fallbacks in place, probably with a different cloud provider too.a company of this size makes switching to redundancies hard to do.
Show me a company of that size that does?It always blows my mind that a company of this size does not have redundancies in place to prevent something like that.
Show them how to do it.Au contrair, a company this size should have automatic monitoring and fallbacks in place, probably with a different cloud provider too.
you may be right as we know it couldn’t be China, for TC was just there kissing a certain part of Xi’s anatomy.Russia again.
I sort of agree. However, (to be slightly facetious), can you suggest a solution where redundancy wouldn't prevent an outage?Of course they have redundancies. Not all outages are caused by a lack of redundancy.
It's a sign that you dont need it. Return it.Just as I try to activate a new iPad...
It's a sign that I should have looked at downdetector.com before wiping the iPad and doing a transfer from my old iPad twice...It's a sign that you dont need it. Return it.
That is good morale why activation should be banned(when Find My is deactivated). When some crisis or disaster comes then device is useless brick. Android does it right and only verification is needed when device is tied to account and theft protection is enabled. Sideloading would be useful in this case too if Store is offline by cyberattacks or server failures.Just as I try to activate a new iPad...
