App Store, Apple Music, Apple TV+ and More Experiencing Outage [Update: Fixed]

I am uncertain if this is related to my iCloud account. I had a login issue started last night with (!) an exclamation mark on my iCloud, it boots me out of all iCloud services across all my devices. Not only that, but I panicked and reset my iCloud password and forced logout all my devices in the process.

It was a painful experience.

Got locked out as well and had to reset my Apple ID too. PITA 2 hours spent dealing.

Notice that the subscribers to the App Store Pro, Apple Books Pro, Apple Music Pro, etc., were unaffected!

Now, I want a partial refund from Apple One monthly subscription 🙈

The average month has ~30.42 days or ~730 hours.

Apple One individual is $16.95/mo.

So Apple One costs about 2.3 cents per hour.

Seemed to be down for about 2.25 hours.

Apple: Would you like the 6 cents (rounded up) refunded to your card or would you like for us to issue you a statement credit on your next billing cycle?

If 2fa is off you have to keep answering challenge questions. They make it annoying enough that you give up and turn on 2fa.

Well, iCloud uses Microsoft Azure so we should really be grateful that there haven't been a lot more outages. Just look at MS365, which already had at least two this year (and it's February).

But seriously... Apple data centres fully running on Apple Silicon + macOS for all Apple services, wouldn't that be more efficient and faster too?

It's neither, they use Google Cloud, they used to use Azure but dropped them for GCP
