Wow...I'm glad I came across this thread.

I had this same problem. It was resolved when I stopped using sbsettings to hide the app store icon.

I'm on my first Jailbreak and I have done it myself and proud of it until the App store crashed. I was about to declare forfeited untill I came across this thread! Never undermine your help! Thanks!
