I didn't see anything about Apple trying to blame anyone. The popup that I got said that there was a network problem, it didn't say where. Curious, that it took you an hour to figure out that it wasn't your network.I hate it when a company has a problem on there side they always blame the consumer. Itunes keeps telling me I have a network problem. I have have spent an hour trying to find out if the problem was on my computer.
Thanks to forums like this I have stopped looking at problems on my computer and wait for Apple to sort themselves out.
