Barely working for me (East coast US).
I can browse the app store, but downloads are failing.

At first, I thought it was just my phone. Tried rebooting, toggling Airplane mode, etc. Checked my iMac when I got home and had the same problem. Then found this thread. Glad it's not just me though.

I too have the problem in the UK. Both using WiFi (BT) and 3G (O2). Must be the store.

I can browse the store but not update apps.

Same here!

Nothing here in the Dominican Republic. I try to download an app a gray icon comes up which says "Waiting...". It works after a loooong time (took like 1 hour to start downloading an app for me).

Seems like Apple's international server is down or overloaded...

Definitely a few ghosts in the machine over there!

Yep, it's been wonky since this afternoon for me on the East Coast. This sucks, I want to buy djay which is on sale for 99 cents today, and gift a couple more to friends, but nothing is working.

Speaking of the App Store weirdness, last night I wrote a nice review for an app I own, click submit (from the iPad) and got a message telling me that I must own the app to write a review. It's installed on my iPad and even says "installed' on the app page. Well written review, lost and down the drain.

Also, the blogging app Blogsy had an update but the date said the 20th when it was only the 19th. It showed "update" on the app page but not in the automatic updates prompt in the store.

NOw it prompted a message which says that I've tried my password too many times. It sent me to a password recovery website from Apple that just comes up blank with a few words in it that say "No Instance Available".

This is getting annoying..

After about 10 tries i seem to be downloading the 4 updates that i had on my iPhone 4.

Must be getting the issue fixed....whatever the heck the issue is.

Steve

Edit: May have spoken too soon. Facebook & Hootsuite downloaded....two others....not so much!

Steve

dunno if people are still having problems, but I've had no issues at all today.

I downloaded Crackle maybe what? 10 minutes ago, updated an app...and just downloaded and installed TradeNations.

I have like 10 apps that I started an update on my iPhone. Now they are all greyed out because they cannot update. I have no way of cancelling the updates and now I cannot use these 10 apps until apple brings the store back up.

I have rebooted the phone 3 times.
I have tried updating from the PC - connection refused, etc.

This is really maddening. They should have a way to cancel the updates from the phone when this is occuring!

Come on!!!!

OS Based?

my wife was able to connect fine with her iPhone 3GS, My connection was extremely slow with an iPhone 4, and didn't work at all on the iPad. All from the same wifi network. OS or Platform specific maybe?

same problem for me in the UK. Must say I'm relieved to hear I'm not the only one!

Something similar happened to me a few months back and it turned out to be due to an update to an app that me and many others with the same problem had downloaded an update for a few days previously. That App was Ship Finder.

Out of interest, what updates have people updated recently? I downloaded a ESPNcricinfo update earlier, seemingly without any problems, but first experienced the issue when updating Panoromatic 360. Anyone else got either of those apps?

If not I guess it's an App Store thing which should hopefully get fixed soon.

I hate it when a company has a problem on there side they always blame the consumer. Itunes keeps telling me I have a network problem. I have have spent an hour trying to find out if the problem was on my computer.

Thanks to forums like this I have stopped looking at problems on my computer and wait for Apple to sort themselves out.

Thanks:mad:

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8H7 Safari/6533.18.5)

I tried several attempts to update my apps and deleted facebook in my madness, I don't know how long this is gonna take but I hope apple boots up again soon

I didn't see anything about Apple trying to blame anyone. The popup that I got said that there was a network problem, it didn't say where. Curious, that it took you an hour to figure out that it wasn't your network.

Migration to the new data center in NC maybe? Would make sense as to why some people (those connected to the old center still) can still download and to why those who cant (are being routed to the new data center that isn't fully operational yet because of the transition). A wild guess but you never know, they said it would be open spring!

Actually, the uhh... (so ashamed to say it) ... the Rihanna song. I was dancing to it in the library...everyone stared.

I've been having AppStore issues all day today with my iPhone and iPod Touch. Slow downloads and sometimes just freezing. Only today though so hopefully it will be resolved soon. Maybe they're upgrading servers or something...
