I don't want to drive this thread into a ditch, but do you not believe in paying software developers for their work and ideas?I don't pay for software.

If by nickel and dimming me through subs and yearly upgrades fees then no.I don't want to drive this thread into a ditch, but do you not believe in paying software developers for their work and ideas?
If I try software that provides utility then I’ll find any alternative that’s free. I decline to pay for it and will never subscribe monthly. That is a financial trap they try to force you down.
I would like to see Touch ID for the watch whereby I can set up the watch and pair it to my iPhone or iPad with just the watch present, so long as the devices are already signed into my Apple ID account. I would also like to see independent watch backup with the ability to just use the watch if need be (cellular model).Speaking of Watch OS8, I would like to see the ability to batch delete texts from my AW.
I receive enough text notifications that aren't actually conversations that it's a pita to have to delete them one by one, using the current three step process (select/delete/trash).
A small thing, but it would be a welcome change.
Say what? Where am I "ripping them off" when I refuse to pay for somebody developing software that I don't use? This would be like saying I'm ripping off cable providers because I have an OTA antenna. Good grief.People pour their time and expertise into making beautiful and useful software and it seems like you’re just interested in ripping them off. I hope, for your case, that everybody doesn’t look for free alternatives to whatever it is that you do, or the company you work for does. Otherwise, you may be out of a salary. I reckon if you did start paying for software, you’d understand why it’s chargeable and not available for free.

Ok now I understand. That wasn’t clear to me before - can’t read minds with a generic statement. There are some software where people can purchase and not a subscription model that provides good benefits.I think I’m pretty clear in what I’m talking about. I don’t value software which nickels and dimes honest folks with subscription trash and garbage upgrade cycles. The last piece of junk like that iStats Menu and i1Password were junked along time ago.
I used to buy software, especially the value add bundles but then those turned into a money grab by the developers looking to wring the last few $$$ from a release before a new version bump came out. Totally turned my stomach wasting that money. That goes hand in glove with Apple's planned obsolescence for software with rapid upgrades to Mac OS X which prevents older versions of SW from running. The transitions from Power PC -> Intel -> ARM breaks older software. The switch to 64-bit only with Catalina meant 32-bit apps couldn't run. All these ways to break backward software compatibility makes me sick. Now my rule is I don't pay for any software. It's only free stuff and I don't give a damn if a payed app dies or the developer starves.Ok now I understand. That wasn’t clear to me before - can’t read minds with a generic statement. I used to value MS Office before O365 yet now even updates for older versions is no longer being done. Is .docx documents still supported when submitting a resume? Yes even if it’s MS Word 2010. Am I buying the online subscription? No. But I still value the desktop software vs the online model. So I get you.
those smaller software that you mention lol. Ever purchased them. Password manager software nope.
I think you’ve got an amazing sense of humor, and I think so as well.Great, then you can move along.
Thank you!I think you’ve got an amazing sense of humor, and I think so as well.
I will be very happy if that day ever arrives. There is a shortcut workaround that allows you to speak what you want to go into a Note and it will do so. Not the same thing I know but, it is something lolyou have got to wonder if they are waiting on the 10year milestone of apple watch to release the Notes app for it.....
I use my AirTags to track my mental health.I don’t need any mental health app, and I don’t need one, either.
Regardless if it is an M1S it’s not an M1 and your infatuation aside with Motown Craig it’s not happening that same way this year. Hence why I stated it’s getting old!You never know it might be M1S… spoken too soon buddy.
Tim Cook said it himself… the whole transition will take 2 years. Plus we are dealing with chip shortage now globally.

Apple starts its two-year transition to ARM this week
Apple's transition from Intel to ARM will take about two years -- similar to when it switched from PowerPC to Intel.www.engadget.com
I’m honestly more excited about the new design itself. I’ll be seeing you when you pre-order ur brand new 💻
If you were using the Mind app, you wouldn't be so upset about the battery life. Actually, you'd probably be cool with it.Apple getting into the shrink business now 🤦♂️ How about leaving that to the professionals.
Instead fix the putrid battery life most people have been getting ever since 14.5 and onwards.
Hopefully they’ve been listening to people and add features people actually want on iOS, mind app 🤦♂️😴
I’ll always be upset until I get back my awesome 10h battery life, what’s the point upgrading from a xs max if I’m getting the same crap battery life 🤬🤬🤬😂🤦♂️If you were using the Mind app, you wouldn't be so upset about the battery life. Actually, you'd probably be cool with it.![]()
