hey that's great for the kid. awesome.

and even more insane when you think about how many apps are being dloaded.

I'm sorry, I guess I'm still surprised when I come across people who can't grasp simple concepts. (for example: Republicans):D

The fact that you don't understand how there could have been a misunderstanding by those that read Apple's home page and didn't read the official rules is beyond ridiculous. When you compare it to the wording of prior contests run by Apple that had the same methodology for determining winners it is even more ridiculous that you can't admit that it should have been worded better.

So am I to take it that you are a Republican then, since you can't seem to grasp this simple concept? Weird.

Dude, call me stupid, ok... but calling me a republican? Too far. :D

**** him ... and **** me that I didnt won ( I hope it will be some hot chick) ROFL

Thanks so much for posting that. That is what I've been thinking about and I couldn't remember where I read it. As a reminder, here is the definition of unclear wording:
https://www.macrumors.com/2009/04/10/apple-launches-1-billion-app-countdown-promotion/

as compared to 100% perfectly clear wording by Apple on their last similar promotion:
https://www.macrumors.com/2004/07/01/itunes-countdown-to-100-million/

Exactly. Even the sharpest small-print hounds on here will surely recognize the difference in clarity between these two announcements.

Are we all morons who didn't realize it was only the billionth app that would win? Perhaps. But was Apple much less clear this time than they were last time? Definitely.

Exactly. And the thing that is most surprising is that both of these examples are from Apple. If you worked at Apple and you were creating the PR text for a contest wouldn't you first look at the wording for the last contest that was incredibly similar?

This would never have happened if Steve were still there every day yelling and knocking heads. :D

Congrats to the 13 year old whose probably gonna put that macbook pro to great use...

Not to say that I'm jealous because I didn't win.. I just feel that there's so many people in this world that probably could have made better use of that prize package then some 13 yr old. I mean me personally I'm a struggling college student and can barely afford my bills let alone buy a brand new mac. So I have to stick with what I got, and so do many other people. I'm not saying I should have won over this kid, but I certainly would have like to have seen it gone to someone who would put it to good use.
