The slider can be removed by using StyleUnlock, but it won't allow you to swipe notifications from the lockscreen. That's the issue I've been having.

hide clock background

hey,

i have the same problem that 'hakuna matata' had, removing the clock background only.

in one exception, i don't want to use any theme to do that.. meaning i don't want to install the winterboard in order to apply themes.

for example, iFile can be used here, but i don't know how.

any ideas ?

If you just want to remove the clock background, not the clock itself, the file is /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/TelephonyUI.framework/BarLCD@2x~iphone.png

And if you want to remove the outer slider background, not the slider itself, the file is
/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/TelephonyUI.framework/BarBottomLock@2x~iphone.png

I haven't needed to replace the inner slider background so I haven't looked up which file it is, yet...

Just make them fully transparent and replace the original files. And you should probably make a backup of the originals, just in case...

I am assuming there is no way to get rid of the black bar for the clock on the lockscreen WITHOUT using Winterboard.. Is this correct? I had Winterboard installed for about a day and my battery got creamed... Is there a way to do this without the need for Winterboard?

Also, I am not comfortable in deleting files. I was kind of hoping there was a tweak to install, so I could uninstall if I had to. Thanks!

isn't it look amazing ??? 😀
all this without the need of winterboard

about the inner slider background, the file is -
/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/TelephonyUI.framework/WellLock@2x~iphone.png

about you aDRock1154, you can add '%' at the end instead of deleting the file.
for example:

full slider background hide :
/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/TelephonyUI.framework/WellLock%@2x~iphone.png
/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/TelephonyUI.framework/BarBottomLock%@2x~iphone.png

clock background hide :
/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/TelephonyUI.framework/BarLCD%@2x~iphone.png

either way.. u should backup the files..

Which font are you using?

anybody know which file is for the tiny strip of transparent background behind the text on top (signal strength, carrier, clock, battery, etc)
