Can anyone of the people who hate on the device (especially the new model) tell me what would YOU change to make it better??
Well I don't consider myself a "hater" as I like the new design overall, but I do wish it had a larger screen (and since we don't know the screen tech I can comment on that, but here's hoping for a Super AMOLED :D ). And yes, I understand the reasons why Apple shouldn't/couldn't/didn't change the screen size, that's just the part I would change if I could.

So you telling me that you're actually 100% sure that Apple never ever ever does field testing? And that you never in your life have been a little drunk and forgot something at a bar? And that in your world is it unthinkable that any young'ish man would ever forget anything in a bar?

so instead of testing during peak usage hours of the day, the way Apple does it is test it at night when no one is using the cell network? i guess that explains all the bugs and dropped calls of the last few years

This is what the haters who dont have one dont realise...
I'd rather have a slightly lower spec that worked properly than a super impressive spec with clumsy software

so how is it that software for a newew CPU would be buggier than for an older one? never seems to happen when Intel releases new CPU's

If there is speculation that this release was engineered by Apple to seek feedback - doubtful as Apple marches to it's own drummer - then why isn't everyone expressing OUTRAGE that this supposed prototype has a screen smaller than the 3Gs? This would be unacceptable in view of the Android 3.7", 4" & 4.3" displays. This iPhone release will be a failure without something comparable to the Samsung 4" Super AMOLED, which is probably the current benchmark for quality and surely available to Apple.

apple might be spreading false information. like last year when everyone was convinced that the ipod touch would have a camera. or the ipad $1000 price rumors

Always a possibility based on previous threads on the suspicious manner in which this phone supposedly came to light. While an attractive design I can't image this is an Apple final product. There were many far more attractive concept designs submitted recently, and I expect Apple to beat all those in their final release, as they usually do. :apple:

Well let's assume first that if is an Apple device it is just a prototype and subject to change. We don't know the processor - is it single core A8 or dual core A9? Don't know resolution on either camera - 5 or 8+ mp? Domt know if it is 892.11n compatible. And a 4" Super AMOLED is mandatory to compete with Android regardless of resolution. Does it have an improved cell antenna? Those are some of my burning issues/desires.

(I have said this in a previous post) As someone who had a Nexus One and has a ZuneHD I can tell you that it is IMPOSSIBLE to use those devices outside in the sun. I couldn't call 911 if my life depended on it. So unless you are a shut-in who does nothing but sit inside all day, OLED screens are nowhere near ideal. Yeah, they do get better battery life, and a lot of that may be the fact that people use their phone less because it can't be used outside during the day!

As for 802.11n, do you need 160Mbps speed on a phone? Do you ever cap 54Mbps on a phone? Heck, can phones even process data fast enough to reach 160Mbps?

And I get 5 signal bars on my iPhone, so I really don't think its a phone issue so much as a network issue.

Dude I have a nexus one and I can use it outside EASILY! Turn the brightness up! or have the auto adjust on! Its simple really...

Neither of which use Super AMOLED displays, that are supposed to be better in the sun. And let's face it, the current iPhone screen is nothing to write home about in the sun.

Unless I'm mistaken, N band provides not only faster speeds, but greater range, particularly when conntecting to an "n" router. Sorry about your OLED. That is why the Super AMOLED is the only logical choice - more than just a cut above stand OLED.

Oh?

OLED is notorious for being nearly impossible to use in the sun. If you can see it easily in the sun, well, I simply don't believe you or you have the best vision in the world.

Perhaps you're just showing a photo of one. Photos of screens never look good. Especially in the sun.

If he can see it fine in the sun, then why make fun of him?

I always wonder why anyone bothers to post blurry pictures if they have the device in hand and have the time to take clear pictures. Because if they are presenting new evidence, you'd think they want clear pictures so the readers will believe them..... one would think a blurry pic saying it is something would be false because the person who posted it just wanted to create buzz and speculation over something that wouldn't have speculated over if it was clear....

Because they're being paid by all of those who does post blurry fakes, so that people might believe them? I don't know

I disagree. Just from what we saw of the new iPhone, it's won't compete with the EVO. I mean c'mon...Gray was disguising the phone as a 3GS with a case. That means the phone is damn near identical in size. They added a camera and maybe some faster components and added storage.
Apple has silently shown they can't compete with other companies, so they are gonna continue to make sleek, not so fancy phones. HTC, Samsung and others will lead in innovation.

"Fancy"? ahahaha. Can you show me some of that "innovation" you speak of? Aside from arranging some icons and menus differently than the iPhone.

What do you want them to do? Come up with a holographic iPhone. Apple has a very solid foundation and are building on it. It is what people with, you know, brains do.

Is that on FULL brightness? All I know is even in THAT picture from my distance I can see he is in the App Drawer. Can you not see that from the pic? When I have my phone out on a sunny day IT IS HARDER to see, than if I was in a dark room, the same goes for any other touch screen phone... whether it be from glare, fingerprints, or direct sunlight. Either way I can still see what im doing in the sunlight... sorry your vision isnt that great.

So the EVO is not a better phone?
