The bands don't look like a solid plastic color, but they seem like they're metal. So depending on reflectivity and your angle they'll either be visible or not.

How so? Seriously asking. It doesn't make sense, the display should have the same tint as the rest of the image, albeit less yellow due to the LCD's brightness.

The yellow-ness is from the lighting of the room reflecting on the white surface of the iPhone. The screen displays its own color. I am holding my white iPhone 5s under an amber light now and the white bits on the top and bottom are reflecting yellow, while the screen, on Settings, is pretty damn white.

Next to a gold 5s like that, the 6 looks a bit plain and ugly, obviously with the thick lines... Though, those and the protruding camera won't bother me since I'll have a case on it 99.9% of the time.

Seems like 4.7 is real, I wonder if 5.5 is just a test that apple decided not to pursue

Somehow the bezel seemed so much smaller when Marques Brownlee was holding the front panel separate from the rest of the phone. Now that it's been all put together and we take into account the weird black space outlining the actual screen, the bezels, even on the sides, almost feel the same as those on the 5S. Slightly disappointing.

It's because you are looking at it directly from the top (90°). Take a look at the video from last week: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=657UeODW178
Sometimes it looks like the Home Button is sitting on the edge and sometimes not - simple optical illusion because of the tapered edges of the front glass panel.

Remember, the logo on the 5s is printed on - on the 6 it's a separate insert (like on iPads).

i know but it looks like it is nicked already .. isn't it supposed to be liquid metal? I think this may be just a good quality knock off. Apple is insane when it comes to detail.

Frankly, this design sucks.I will never pay premium for an Apple device than lacks in design department.
seems like Ive boy messed this one too just like he did with the awful 5c.
So for me I'll wait for iPhone 7.
My next phone will be either a 5s or possibly even a flagship android,I dislike android and am heavily involved in Apple echo system but poor and ugly design is not acceptable.
Every new iPhone gains Apple more users, but a smaller number finds the new design unacceptable for some reason. Apple understands that it can't please everyone. So long as they end up in more hands than ever before, they won't sweat losing yours.

If this is what the iPhone 6 looks like I will NOT buy it. Those ugly thick antennas and pertruding make the phone hideous and my hands are too small for this screensize anyway

Big lines on the back could be somethink to do with wireless charging and better Antenna

Now that there is no evading the truth any more the sheep will follow :p :apple:

It's gotten comical at this point.

Every new leaked design is unanimously despised up until launch when everyone starts loving it. Seems as if there's only a few level headed on here who don't go crazy and realize that early leaks don't do anything justice. I called this months ago. I mean geez, the same thing happened with the 5. Everyone though the "two toned" look was hideous and now everyone calls it beautiful.

Is the iPhone a work of art or is it an electronic device meant to be used as a day to day tool? Several people have stated that they aren't getting the phone due to the bands and how ugly they make the back of the phone look. Put a cover on the phone and use it for all that it can do.

Feld & Volk Video

That video from Feld & Volk (posted here on 9/1) that highlights the current vs. 'new' iPhone model, looks a lot better to me than these photos. And the home button in the video is closer to the bottom bezel than it does on these photos.

Either one of them is an actual leak or maybe neither of them :)

That video always calms me... Looks SO MUCH better there :-D

Guess I'll see on the 9.9 if to say Yiiirrrrr I'm gonna get it or ... Hmmpf I'm gonna get it anyway.

I still refuse to believe that it will have those ugly thick lines on the back. No way.

Really? They're 100% happening and they look fine on this finished model. IMO it would look a bit bland if it was completely unibody, like a track suit without stripes :p

I don't understand why the top, bottom and side bezels are so gigantic. Is this really the best Apple can do?

fake. the top and bottom are going to be much smaller.

I don't think this is real, the OS at least. The spacing of the icons is not what I'd expect from Apple. The vertical spacing has been kept the same, the horizontal spacing has been increased, and the spacing on the top is too tight. When Apple increased the spacing for the iPad, it did so in a better distributed way. Six rows is too much, too. If the iPad doesn't have six rows, why would the phone? And also, that music icon.
