People want a larger iPhone. Since when did "larger" mean "longer"? I want BOTH dimensions to be larger so the icons and content are magnified. There are already enough rows of icons; that's clearly not the issue. This is sadly where the thieves at Scamsung have done a better job than Apple. IF the pictures are true...

I hate posts that state opinion as fact.

1. Not all want a larger phone
2. The number of icons is not clearly the issue, its your opinion
3. You want content magnified, but what about those that want the same content size, and more screen real estate?

Best to state opinions and desires as those, and not as fact in order to strengthen your argument.

Me, I want larger. In relation to the screen, same size icons. more of them. The homescreen only displays icons, so why make them bigger when I can get more convenience by seeing more of them? Settings App, same, I want to see more options. Elsewhere, I still want to see more, I dont want to see larger, although there will be use cases when I'd rather see larger

Looks incredibly fugly, the worst looking iPhone to date...so tall...and enormously waste of space top and bottom bezel areas.

Obviously we have different interpretations of what the magnitude of the salt (grain or otherwise) represents. Personally I think my hyperbole represented my point perfectly enough.
That's like me telling you 2 + 2 = 4 and you telling me it's 5.

Same here. I want more viewing options... much like the retina books have with either more screen real estate or larger, but sharper images.

No. That's not even a remotely accurate simile. You are comparing the interpretation of a idiom of several potential origins, to an empirical outcome of a mathematical summation. Please stop trying to fight this.

battery

Good to see mention of the trend of thinner instead of a battery that will get you thru a day of heavy use, none of my friends complained that the iphone 4 was to thick but they ALL complain when their battery is flat and I dont have a charger because I have an android.

The battery bump in the iphone6 is so small its not even worth a mention. So apple will continue to give users something they didnt ask for (thinness) at the expense of what users are screaming for.......... good one.

I love apple but this all just defies logic.

And yet it will all sell like crazy making Apple and shareholders tons money...seems like quite a bit of logic still there.

I think apple have a bettery idea of what customers want. The majority do want thinner, they're just not vocal about it like the dumb armchair ceo fanboys on here. If you don't mind having a thicker uglier phone, just stick it inside an ugly battery pack.
