i totally agree that GE should be #1. they have done such a great job killing and making people sick with their pollution, innovation at its finest. i have a feeling that the people of the hudson river area stuffed the ballot box with their high praise for this amazingly benevolent company!

I agree.. The first thing I thought of when I saw GE as #1 was, are they crazy?!? I remember quite well (and I live in the midwest, not the east) all the immoral dealings GE performed with regard to the hudson river.. They are still trying to clean it up! (http://www.epa.gov/hudson/) Anything to make a quick buck and screw the public.

This list lost every credibility when they put Fedex in front of UPS.

I am not certain what your experience with Fedex was...

But as far as I am concerned, this list has lost ALL its credibility and then some because UPS is on it AT ALL.

UPS is the most horrible and crooked company I have ever had to deal with... Makes me feel bad Apple is on the same list as them. Oh, Microsoft is on the same list too! :)

Man, I purchased 2 iPods on ebay, both of which "disappeared" en route through UPS.

I don't see why people are giving this a negative, but then again the option is there....SOMEONE is bound to press it:rolleyes:

I don't care what anyone says, Apple makes some fantastic stuff and has some great ideas. I remember as a kid telling my parents it would be cool to download movies from the internet from a paid service and have it run on my tv through a device obligated to that one purpose...then 10 years later here comes :apple: TV, though not perfect is still running on the wish I had as a kid.

Thank you for finally cleaning up the thread.

I think Apple could be greener - but at least their computers last for longer than PCs (in my experience) and as such will find less being binned. Furthermore, there are less Apple computers than all the other computers so even if they are polluting - they aren't the worst.

It's not really that Apples last longer than all PC's, it's just that there are tons upon tons of bargain basement PC's that have the lifespans of fruit flies. Good PC brands have just as much longevity.
