Thats odd  maybe we can get a dual 3ghz and the dual 2 will go down to $1500 :D :D :D (here's to hoping) but i doubt they'd drop the dual 2's down that low. If they did i'd buy one tonight. :D

Same as AUS in Singapore, the old Power Mac is still on the shelf.. But I notice something strange, the picture of iBook in Singapore has a NEW on each model, but nothing is indicated in the US despite same configuration...

It's the same in the Australian store but I think the "NEW" label has been there since the last update. Anyone able to confirm or deny that?

Is that to do with the fact that the 'new' tag is based on the last X products to be added to the store? I was looking at the 'new to the store' lists in a few countries and most still have the iMac and eMac but the US store has all sorts of other random products.

Maybe the 'new' tag just represents the last X products added to the store?

Not sure about it... One thing I am sure about is that HK, SG and AU uses the same online store platform. Therefore, the pictures it used should be the same, except the price, haha...

I think that's why we still see the older model of Power Mac inline with those with a NEW tag.

:D

Its about time they introduce some serious new hardware we havent seen anything since early january....

ShaDOW :)

Why is Apple waiting to introduce the hardware? They removed the single cpu PM without coming with something new.

Single Processor 1.8G5's are gone :(
Considering Apple introduced the single 1.6 Ghz G5s TWO YEARS AGO!! as their low-end model, it's about time they dropped the single PM from their lineup.

Triple :D :D :D to your :(

Well now that there are no more single CPU PMs I sure hope they address that damn chirpping sound soon. That was enough to make me abandon the G5 PMs for awhile.... I didn't really need that much speed anyways but it was sure nice to have it in case ;)

Unlikely: Powerbook and Powermac updates

Likely: iBook updates, possible Mac mini updates (especially since shipping time is longer now), Possible new product entirely (e.g. introduction of a new product line to keep them afloat while the Intel transition takes place; I mean, they'd have to do something, surely a company has large as Apple forsaw every angle in this transition, including those waiting to purchase until the Mactel machines are produced).

I'm waiting for the iBook update... When do you think Apple would update its iBook family?

I think apple really needs to bring something cool and new out in order to pick up sales before they fall as they undoubtedly will due to the intel situation.

Maybe a G5 Cube now that would be nice....

ShadOW

new mini's, iPod update, ibook , a new Flash iPod with a screen, ebook(cheap laptop (or price drop in iBook line),tablet mac, come on apple do thing really great ,make the last summer where all apple products are PPC ,great

I'd love to see new ibooks. An update is LONG overdue on them, but Apple will be hard pressed to update them without stepping on the toes of the 12" powerbook. Perhaps an update to the 12" pb also? Apple's screen size to performance ratio never made sense to me. What about professionals who need top performance and small size?? It's been beaten to death but Apple has yet to listen/care. One can always dream I suppose.

As much as i ahve been lusting over a dual 2.0 PM, I am thinking a decent update to the Mac mini might be able to hold me till the Mactels....

I have been thinking about the Mac mini myself. Even some nice price drops would also help with boosting sales.
