If it's not out tomorrow, I'll go back to my cynic mood. :p

Well an Amazon exec said just yesterday in no uncertain terms that it would be released by the end of the year, so we already knew it would be in about 3 weeks or less.
Amazon confirmed last Friday (Dec. 1st) that the Prime Video app would be launched this month.

This is just yet another clickbait title from MacRumors.

Is there an English word for „Klugscheißer“?

What are the chances of Apple adding Prime Video to 3rd gen Apple TV? I’m not optimistic... but figured I’d ask.

The Amazon Help Twitter has stated that "Prime Video will be available to customers on generation 2, 3 and 4 of the Apple TVs".

The alleged Amazon engineer who has been posting on Reddit says it will only run on the 4th generation and 4K models.

So AHT could mean the Apple TV App or they could mean that you can stream Prime Video from an iOS device to the 2nd and 3rd generation platforms.

They also posted a banner showing Gen 3 on the Pokemon Go Watch App.

Is there an English word for „Klugscheißer“?

Smartass i guess?

Actually, Amazon said on Twitter it would be coming to 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gen Apple TV’s.

That'll be great if it actually happens!

I'm perfectly happy with the ATV 3 - we've got two of them. On the rare occasions we've wanted to watch something on Prime, we've just AirPlayed it... which works rather well, but is slightly less convenient than having an app right on the TV (so to speak).

i can see the atv being successful despite not because of apple

who on earth is in charge of it ??

it has so much potential , and so little of it is being used

My Magic 8 Ball says, “Not Bloody Likely.”

My guess is roughly zero. I don’t see them supporting that anymore with new app.

It obviously won't be launching on my ATV 3. :D

I have Prime, but frankly I don't see the value in their video. I can't remember the last time Prime offered something I wanted to watch that didn’t include an additional fee.

None, because Apple isn’t building the app, Amazon is.

Apple has to upload the App to the 2 & 3.

ATV 2 & 3 can already stream Amazon app from an iOS device. So, no.

I hope this isn’t going to be another US only release. I hope the TV app, as promised, comes to the UK soon. Maybe with the release of the Amazon Prime app. Fingers crossed.

This makes sense seeing as the grand tour comes out in just a few days
Solid point, it will definitely be out before grand tour with all the promotion they’ve been doing imo. The potential for all the new prime subscribers is massive there. I can see it available in the UK as well for this reason.
