Supposedly yes.....those are the hairline cracks that are covered now.

Apple will not repair for those cracks on the bottom case. I took mine in to have those looked at and have my top case replaced again and was told by the Genius and the stores manager that Apple will not repair that because it does not effect the performance of the machine. Total BS that it is cracking in the first place.

I've had an iPhone 3G for almost 8 months, it doesn't have a hard shell case, and I've not had any issues with cracks whatsoever (and its a white model at that).

Now, I did just have my "palm rest" on my Macbook replaced (a piece broke loose on the right edge. They replaced the whole cover at no charge (I've Applecare).

I too have a white iphone 3g. I take good care of it and up until about a month or so ago there were no cracks at all. Now I have a small crack right behind the switch for the ringer. Hopefully I can get this replaced, and hopefully you don't have the same issue!

I went to the apple store on Saturday and was told they'd replace the keyboard/touchpad case and the top(apple logo) case and it'd take 3-5 business days. Since the laptop works fine I elected to take it with me. I have applecare and will do it later.

Really? I have an aluminium one, yet at the store I was told by a specialist that any and every crack outside of personal causes would be covered in and out of warranty.

They did replace my top case again but refused to repair my bottom case which has been cracked on the heat vent, and also avoided speaking about a hairline crack on the bottom of my screen closest to the heat vent that I pointed out.

Nope...no cracks. Thanks for the thought, though!

They told you that in an Apple store? Its a health hazard, they are obliged to replace it. Next time you cut your finger or something, go to the Apple store, and tell them the crack did it and watch them **** bricks.

Is that Crack in the above picture is covered under this?

I had the exact same problem. I also had the plastic chipping off the palm rest. Yesterday Genius bar took in my Macbook (late 2006) for repairs without questions. They told me that they will replace the enter bottom case including the keyboard.
I do not have Apple Care.

I live about an hour from an Apple store so I figured I would give Apple a call and see if they will send me a box to send out my Macbook to fix the cracks. I have a 5" crack on the bottom near my air vents, didn't even notice it until I saw the articles on Gizmodo and Engadget. I'm outside of AppleCare by about a month so I'm curious to see what they say over the phone.
