Apple has added new 'Tips and Tricks' sections to its iPhone marketing websites, giving new and old iPhone users a handy guide to the new features of iOS 7 and the new iPhone models.

The three pages, one each for the iPhone 4s, 5c and 5s, include sections about photography, swipe gestures, FaceTime, Maps, Siri, Calendar, Music, Mail, Safari, AirPlay and Wireless, Settings, Compass, and Find My iPhone.

The pages, which are linked at the bottom of every iPhone marketing webpage on Apple.com, appear to be something of a quick start guide, complimenting the more in-depth iPhone User Guide.

I have never read a manual or guide or any iOS device. I did not think you needed to.

Not saying I am against it, maybe I would learn some new tricks...

So did apple just completely eliminate the iPhone 5 from everything?

They also did not include the iPhone 4 or 3G. You are lucky that they provided iOS 7 for iPhone 5 (not saying they should, just that they could be dicks and totally ignore that it used to be their flagship and pretend it never existed)

Well, the only ones you could buy now (at least from Apple) are the 4s, 5c and 5s. All other phones I guess are considered legacy phones now. They likely wont mention them again unless it on support/compatibility charts.

They should add the more "advance" tips & tricks like how to delete stuff,
Or improve battery life by disabling paralax, etc..

Meanwhile acknowledging iOS's slightly degraded level of intuition...

They had tips/tricks page for the iPhone since 2010. The basics are intuitive but not every single feature can be instantly discover-able.

Do the tips and tricks include how to regain the 50% battery loss on my 4s in going from iOS 6 -> iOS 7?

i LOVED having my phone go below 10% before noon the other day. Great fun.

I was going to say that I didn't need to read this because I know everything there is to know. But I actually did not know you can tap the arrow in the Panoramic Camera and you can go the opposite way.

"Because despite us "dumbing it down", moron's still can't figure out how to work a freaking Phone, something thats been around for over 100 years and our personal one nearly 7 years !!!:D

I missed where they said stop adding slow-motion to mundane ordinary happenings.

That's probably partly because the new UI doesn't feel it needs to distinguish between tappable, flat, single colour icons and non-tappable, flat, single colour icons. That just wouldn't be good design.
