I have less than zero interest in this product.
Looking towards the future AR/VR glasses will replace screens you would otherwise have... as a video editor or developer you would stare at a wall and edit with your hands or Bluetooth mouse and keyboard."In a newsletter outlining the possible future of the company's WWDC conference taking place in an in-person format".
Well that ain't happening.
Would Apple even release a product that would be that niche?
If by “last” you mean 5th, 6th, 7th (as you buy new ones every few years), then yeah.except good AR/VR glasses have the chance to be the last digital screen you’ll ever need or own...
How about we call it ARPower since they likely will have the same ending.Games are by far the most popular category in the app store.

with really good AR VR glasses no one will buy screens again. The whole family will just have prescription glasses
Let's be real. The AAPL stock is Tim Cook's baby. His amazing "pipeline' is still a talking point since 2011.Mixed-Reality Headset
This is Tim Cook's baby. Let's get it.
Apple is aiming to announce a mixed-reality headset at an in-person event sometime in the "next several months," according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.
Try convincing phone users to use some bulky headset over what they do now first.Except it replaces every screen you ever own... just pair your accessories (mouse keyboard controller pencil)... You will never have to own a TV, Phone, Watch, iPad, Monitors, projector etc...
If you are a collector sure haha 😂 I sell and upgrade thoughIf by “last” you mean 5th, 6th, 7th (as you buy new ones every few years), then yeah.
Some Apple prototypes and projects include thing light glasses according to rumors...Try convincing phone users to use some bulky headset over what they do now first.![]()

Oh, I don't know. Apple are experts at making you still need the others to connect with the new...Except it replaces every screen you ever own... just pair your accessories (mouse keyboard controller pencil)... You will never have to own a TV, Phone, Watch, iPad, Monitors, projector etc...
I don't see how this is even remotely worth their time. VR is nothing but a vomit-inducing gimmick and is not nearly immersive enough to be worth it.
Why would Apple even bother in this space?
Don't have much interest or knowledge about this headset but am looking forward to Apple Glass. Unless you play games, not sure what this kind of headset would be used for.
I hope there is more too it than just games. I hope Apple can put a different spin on it and make it great. Let’s not forget that Apple made the smart watch popular, there is not other smart watch that’s even in the same league.I think Apple is trying to cast a wider net than just games, but i would imagine that games would be the most financially successful aspect of the headset market.
Actually, mixed (or augmented) reality headsets are a tech before it's time. I worked at a large shall-not-be-named silicon valley concern where we tested Microsoft's HoloLens with systems designed by Intel and our company for use in energy substation service and support. There's some amazing things that can be done with these if properly supported by a back-end infrastructure. I don't see nearly as many tech-toy uses for these as industrial.I don't see how this is even remotely worth their time. VR is nothing but a vomit-inducing gimmick and is not nearly immersive enough to be worth it.

*sad HomePod noises*Gurman says that Apple aims to release a mixed-reality headset, the first major new device since 2015,
