Add more functionalities such as (1) vacuum, (2) a robotic arm that can interact with physical objects (e.g., switches, opening a door, picking up an object, turn off the stove), and (3) find a device and bring it and it might be something. If it can fold a laundry, that would b a must buy.

I fail to see the use case for this. At least with AVP, we can see it as a stepping stone to an ambient computing future.

Also strange is that they want to price it the same as the 11" iPad Pro.

The device would feature a large iPad-like display mounted on a "thin robotic arm" that would allow the display to tilt and up and down and rotate a full 360º, and it would serve as a "smart home command center," a videoconferencing machine such as for FaceTime calls, and a home security monitoring tool.
This rumor sounds more like a jabberwocky. Something that shouldn't exist. :D

Earlier we had the Apple TV that looked like a HomePod with a display rumor, possibly this is taking that rumor further with a bit more imagination and using the robot angle to elicit more interest.

They also plan on an accessory that allows it to follow you around.

Looks potentially interesting. I could see using this for a bunch of tasks.

Of course it's a given it'll be panned here. Just like iPod, iPhone, iPad, Watch, AVP, etc. when they were released.
Please enlighten me what tasks/usee cases you see for this? I fail to see them ...

And I have/had almost every Apple product except the VPro, which I find intriguing but just cannot justify the $$ ...

I feel like Apple is losing their touch when it comes to what people want

They have always aimed for what they think people will want eventually, not what they actually want currently. It's a gamble, and sometimes it hits hard (iphone, watch, airpods) and sometimes it totally bombs (vision pro, arcade, siri)

Make it cute, weird and fun – give it a robot pet personality and this could sell really well.
Together with AI Apple could make this a platform for a virtual pet/friend/AI therapist. If executed well I can really see good potential here, similar to how the Watch defined their own product category and found its use case over the years.
