Early prototypes look rubbish tbh

I know its a traded cooperation and they are somewhat bound by law to sell you the same **** in 10 different casings to continue growth but holy **** am I tired of seeing the comparable interior design software and extra locked so you have to buy if 10 ****ing times. Just upgrade future iPads to mag safe on that stick and get on with it.

You've got to be kidding me.... 🤣🤣🤣

Seriously?!

the Vision Pro simply is the future...whether ya like it or not. this thing however...

It's not the future. Wearing stupid-looking ski goggles and isolating yourself from the world will never be in vogue, period. Smart glasses perhaps, though I will probably skip them, but the Vision Pro and devices like that will always be niche.

Yes, I've used the Vision Pro. I'm not interested.

According to Gurman the mini and Plus iPhones were “commercial failures”, yet, granted it’s MR, people here are asking for a new mini … fast forward to this “robotic table top “thing””, how can this be commercially successful? Are people asking for this?
Yes, I get it, some will like it but why would the average consumer spend yet another $1000 for something and iPhone/ipad can do?

Im not deep in the marked, but at the very least amazon has some stationary Alexa devices with a screen. Id assume google dos to but I honestly dont know. The thing is, your iPad with an Apple, or any other, case can already stand around perfectly fine to do whatever this thing would be capable to do.

Also the amount of headset devices that ended up very niche and in obscurity when it comes to its user base is greatly outweighing the zero products that became mainstream relevant.

As someone who wears glasses I could see enhanced glasses as a thing in the future. Just dont know where that would fall price wise as decent glasses with high diopter are already quite pricy. But I guess for people that wear glasses anyway it could be an interesting data tracking device along side the Apple Watch and the alleged apple ring. Like in a sense of where dos your visual focus go, device distance and maybe some exercise opertuneties to keep your vision from deteriorating further or something like that.
I guess theres enough people with glasses, but than there also is the deal where glasses without diopter are supposed to be bad for your eyes and should not be worn as a style accessory so what to do with all of "them" when you have a hip product.

Or maybe just make a really good native kiosk software so I can repurpose an old iPad?? Stand By works great on iPhone… port that over?

The car never existed. It was a smoke and mirrors exercise in real
World data collection to develop its AR headset before the likes of Samsung could get the jump on it.

And as soon as the headset is out there with customers collecting actual user data? The ‘car’ team gets folded.

Coincidence?

I will reserve judgement until it materializes... but I literally have multiple copies (each family member) of almost every Apple product (MBP, iMac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, HomePod Mini, Magic Keyboard, Magic Mice, Airport, Beats headphones, etc... did I forget anything?), and I cannot imagine ever needing this right now.

I want an Apple device that can cook, do the laundry, and vacuum. I already have a ”device” that follows and stares at me while I do those chores. 🤫

Make it cute, weird and fun – give it a robot pet personality and this could sell really well.
Together with AI Apple could make this a platform for a virtual pet/friend/AI therapist. If executed well I can really see good potential here, similar to how the Watch defined their own product category and found its use case over the years.

Stop it! Flexing your imagination and dreaming a bit in such an overtly positive manner is frowned up here. Best to keep that in a lock box and go with some tried and true crowd pleasers:

Who asked for this?

Apple is in desperate need of a PRODUCT GUY!

Flop!

The six people in Apple's customer base who'll buy this will really like it!

Just what I always wanted! Not!

Tim Cook needs to be fired!

You are going to need therapy if you spaff a grand on Apple's tamagotchi
