I understand that the average buyer is not that tech-savvy, but come on, they're not morons. I think they can understand what's going on there.

"Harmony" is about the last thing I have experienced with iCloud being on Snow Leopard still. I wouldn't have minded as much if they had just warned me that updating my iPad would break my contact and calendar sync with my Mac. Perhaps someday I will update to Lion, but considering the heck of a time I had getting Snow Leopard to a stable fast place, I'm gun shy considering the many bad stories I've heard about performance issues with Lion to make the move just yet.

From the things I have read it seems like both iCloud and Lion aren't quite mature enough yet. Maybe I'll wait for Mountain Lion. I can understand Apple wanting people to update to the lastest OS, but that's not always an option for some people. And when they support an older version of Windows with iCloud better then their own product, it's kind of a slap in the face.

I love how the Air is used for most of their OS advertisements. I think it further proves that it is the future of Apple notebooks.

I am going to take a crack at the song and say it is "Colors of the Wind" from Pocahontas.
That's my guess.

lmao no

Someone please track down this song
Is it possible that Apple got someone to record something just for their commercial?

Might have been answered already, but I didn't know about it. Photostream, which is used in iCloud for the iPhone and iPad also works with Aperture on the Mac. A nice way to select certain photos you want to sync with devices, for previewing on the iPad for example.

thanks, i did know about the aperture support, although i didn't want to have to switch software just for iPhone syncing. ideally it'd be nice if it just synched them to the Pictures folder in my home directory, then I could index and work with them wherever. but as they are just iPhone snaps, they usually just end up going straight to facebook/twitter/path etc anyway, so i guess its not a huge deal :)

Apparently it was composed by DJ/Producer Squeak E. Clean (aka Sam Spiegel) for the spot... I just spent far too long trying to figure this out and figured I would share what I found.

I don't know which blog is the official one but this one confirms it as well:

Still doesn't give us a way to buy/hear the full song. Damn it!

but it doesn't work like that!

Why isn't anyone talking about the fact that it doesn't work? iCloud doesn't work so well..
It also certainly doesn't work with most people's computers if they have been existing users for more than a couple of years (provided we are talking Mac users - Windows users are fine actually!). It doesn't work with Snow Leopard and apple forces people to buy Lion to make it work.
Yet, Lion doesn't work with a LOT of software and hardware... so a LOT of hard-core serious users are forced away from MobileMe to a series of replacements... iCloud has already been likened to the big move from 9 to X or the move to Intel - but this time there is no Apple supported emulator... It is a disaster!
