Has anyone else noticed that the Cupertino campus looks like it could house a particle collider? Could Apple be working on replacing lithium ion battery technology with tiny nuclear reactors to power its products? Or might they be researching ways to access other universes in the multiverse? Imagine the potential revenues from an infinite number of markets. Obviously, I'm talking at least 2016 before this would be feasible, but the time to invest your life's savings in Apple stock is now.

I thought it looked like this diagram of a fusion reactor I have someplace…

Bring the Apple Campus 3 to Canada :) Their Markham HQ is pretty embarrassing compared to this.

Couldn't find a shot of the front, but it's pretty much the same. You'd have to be told to know it was an Apple building.

I second the Canada plan. Maybe somewhere near Vancouver though.

I agree, but ditch the Markham location and re-locate somewhere nicer, like Vancouver.

.

Maybe Apple can return the favor to Microsoft for putting all of their Microsoft stores across from them in the mall, and create a new campus in Redmond. Nintendo might have a building or two for sale.

Just found a photo of Google's new campus. :)

in a couple of years Apple will be on the decline and they'll wish they never started building these ugly buildings which they'll be forced to sell at a huge loss.

iCampus3

iCampus 3 should be identical to iCampus 2, but it should hover at about 40,000 feet. Of course it would have to land and take off several times per day to take on and let off employees, maybe in different places, continents around the world.

Couldn't they use an adaptation of the space elevator, rather than landing over and over again?

Wait. What..??? Apple hires in the USA I thought Hoffa said....

That, of course, is true of all things.

Stars and planets are born and die.

Whole species evolve and disappear.

Empires and cultures rise and fall.

Businesses rise, prosper, expand, and then disappear.

The real issue is time.

Apple will eventually disappear - the question is when. I would not hold my breath - it is probable you will turn bright blue. ;)

You comment just started to die.

Who created the stars? How they are born?

I think Apple should slow it down a bit...they seem to be counting on their chicken before its hatched...I know they may have a 5 year plan...but unless they have something that will keep them in line for dominance for the next 30 years...I don't think they should think about adding a third campus yet.

I'm sure this thought never crossed the minds of Apple's Board.

YIKES!! send them a letter, call them, text them. They NEED to know this!
If you've gone through the books, ran the numbers and know their future plans as a company this is good to know.

What goes up must come down.

That is exactly what I am afraid of. Lifelong Apple fan, been a member here coming up on a decade. I sometimes wonder just how much higher they can possibly go, is this the pinnacle of there potential here and now?

Maybe if they filled in the middle of the spaceship they wouldn't need to appropriate even more land. Or, you know, took over some of the many currently empty Silicon Valley office buildings?

On a positive note, I'm looking forward to the inevitable corporate overreach and resulting waste and contraction that such projects always precipitate. You too Facebook, only more so.
