It is always best to build conservatively as their market could always shift. As neat as that ring building looks it doesn't appear to be intended to be expanded upon unless a cylinder shaped building were to rise from the center. That would then remind me of an infant's toy were you stack rings. :D

With that many campuses popping up then next BIG thing must be an Apple university. Is there a subject called Appleology yet? ;)

That looks amazing.

While they are at it they might as well built their own futuristic city, complete with a classical music concert hall and housing for workers, artists and millionaires.

Lol! Put this and iCampus together and you have a complete procreative reference.

lol that's exactly the first thought that came to my mind.
Anyway, I'm sure they decided to build the third campus when they saw the preview of Windows 8...

Somehow, it reminds me of the Pentagon.

The LA Times architectural critic thought the same, and slammed the "one long hallway" design.

Actually, a large integrated corporate campus brings efficiencies which will allow Apple employees to interact better with each other. Happier, more efficient employees will be more productive and be able to spend more time innovating, which results in better products in a timely manner.

Or it makes it easier to keep a tight watch on their employees.

Apple keeps their design, marketing, hardware and software departments separated in the name of the secrecy which helps fuel sales frenzies, and there's little reason to think that important piece of Apple's success will change.

It would be interesting to find out if the building plans include movement demarcations between department sections.
