Compared to how the iPhone 4 pre-orders went, this was a very smooth process. Some people were jerked around for days upon days.

It's expected. Companies aren't going to overprovision their network capacity and servers for one or two days out of a year. It isn't worth the cost. Yes, people will be unhappy but it's bound to happen.

The site is down again. Already got mine this morning around 4 thank god.

After staying up to 4:30 am in the morning here on the east coast and NOT being able to successfully order anything either on AT&T or Apple's website. I went to sleep.

After sleeping for a total of 3 freaking hours, I got up at 7:30am went on the Apple website and successfully ordered.

So thank you Apple and AT&T for 3 hours sleep last night. I could have went to bed normal time and woke up and just ordered the phone.

I ran into the same situation...Certainly sucked and I'm tired as hell right now but on the bright side I now have an iPhone 4s ordered

No trouble for me at all and not a Wink of sleep lost, it could just have been your location and where the closest server is to your house.

Just remember everyone, no one wants a 4s. They are destined to collect dust on warehouse shelves.

Yep that is funny!

Just a day ago these 4S units were horrible and Apple was a looser!

Now people complain they can not get in the seconds they start taking orders. If they would have waited just an hour or so, all was working good.

I can wait for these same people to get their 4S so they can start complaing about that, too!:p
