who was desperate and and rushed to make a 4.7 and 5.5 inch phone last year? I really want to know how iPhone sales would have looked like if the 6 had kept the 4.0 inch screen size, or if they only launched a 4.7 inch model. Lots of Android users flocked to the 6 for the larger size, but many also regretted losing their Android customization and better cameras from the likes of Samsung and Sony.

Yeah and while you're at it showing your true love for Samsung let's not forget how Sammy threw shade on Apple's iPhone in their ads for having a built-in battery, shorter battery life, thinner and "bendable". OH WAIT! Isn't Sammy's new phone designed exactly that way and not only that, completely ripped off damn near the whole design on the iPhone 6 in their latest Galaxy S6? Now who was desperate for sales? Yeah! Hmm.

And based on this post from you, coupled with the fact that you've been a member here for nearly 6 years with only 60 posts and near every one of them are against Apple and pro Microsoft and Samsung all I can say is thanks for revealing your true agenda.

Samsung mobile profits are troublesome. I wonder if Android OEMs can stay profitable enough to innovate and contribute.

There are many other vendors than Samsung and Apple. Huawei is probably going to become a major player soon, at least in Europe. I know people who bought Huawei phones because they couldn't afford a Samsung or iPhone, and then they discovered that their cheap machines work way better than expected.

There used to be a time when nobody could possibly predict MySpace or BlackBerry will fall. Maybe it's Samsung's turn to join those two. Someone else will fill the gap. I'm pretty sure Android is safe.

I'm pretty sure Android is safe.

The only endgame winner in Android is Google, the rest are just companies barely afloat desperately gasping for air just like the OEMs of the Wintel PC era...Except instead of Windows, this time is a "free" OS with different UI skins.

looks like samsung doing it right...for some odd reason.
Take off your blinkers man, the s6 Range is universally regarded the world over, they regularly top best smartphone lists.. people choose them as they are the best phone on the market, you choose the iPhone as it is the best phone apple sells.

wow necro bump a bit :p

but yeah, looks like the S6, S6+, Note5 and Edge have helped Samsung. They're reporting that the last quarter saw a return to growth of profits.

I doubt that.
