Better than notability?
i have both and I like using sticky notes, but in goodnotes the text that you write on them doesn’t go with the note, if you move it.
I admit I really hate that, but that's probably why I dont use sticky notes more tbh. If the text stayed on the sticky note, I would use it much more often.

China game of the year? Huh? What about U.K., Spain or any other country then? I’m completely flummoxed by this?
What just another small Asian country. Oh, it's Apple's largest market (I'm not sure about this, but it is big). Maybe that has something to do with it.

How does it compare to Apple's Notes? Assuming it is similar, good on Apple to recognize it.
In my honest opinion, it is objectively superior in every way.

The only thing I don't particularly like about GoodNotes is how "raw" pencil input feels, which picks up more handwriting inconsistencies compared to Apple Notes (I don't use a paperlike protector since those things burn through the tip).

Basically, Notes' smoothing is nicer for neater handwriting and that's about it.

Well, tbh, it's not really as great as one would think. It's better, no, it's nicer, looking better than OpenSource software like Gramps, but it's IMHO less usable as eg. the web frontend of MyHeritage. In fact, I switched to MyHeritage 2 years ago and only export the data via gedcom files to keep a local copy. It may be fine for a hobby genealogist though.
Each to their own.

i should however, say that I have been a professional genealogist for more than 25 years. Have worked to establish family and tribal roots in several African countries, unraveled extensive trees in a number of European countries, and researched/documented hundreds of trees involving over 1.3 million records in the UK.

Mac family tree is the only desktop/mobile app capable of managing complex records and sources at these scales. And it’s reporting capabilities are second to none.

Can anyone explain to me why this GoodNotes app has been getting 5 star reviews since forever? I think I downloaded it once in a past life time and it was just like a pdf reader and every other note taking app. I have notability. What does this app do more or better?

I have both. Notability and goodnote and they are more or less the same. There are small differences, and my notes seem to be a bit neater in GoodNote, but both can import files, link things to it etc. As I mentioned earlier, when you make a sticky note in GoodNote, and write on it, you can’t move the note, because the text is not fixed to the note, which notability does.
neither program is what I always wanted, but then again, I probably don’t know what is. I have tried OneNote, which makes terrible looking notes, but had good integration with office. So 5 stars probably come from people don’t know what they would like. Me included.

Goodnotes 5 is the most updated app I’ve ever used. Why is the release software so buggy you need almost two updates a week? If Notability wasn’t subscription I’d switch. Using Apple’s Notes more atm.

Are you saying the best family tree app is a mac only app that is sold for $34? I am surprised they make enough profit to stay in business.

btw, is it true you can map a family members by their DNA?

Honestly, BeReal challenges the very functions of current social media. They really gives a place to be just YOU. The App Store review tells everything that can be said. Just this that, I am an android user and I just have known about BeReal; it hasn't been 5 minutes. And it is already making me smile😊.
