They may have said it 30 times but it's possible that they had only one specific fee in mind (annual fee)

Has anyone seen any confirmation on whether "no fees" also applies to foreign transaction/currency conversion fees?

Apple's site says, "Apple Card doesn't have any fees" under the "No Fees" banner: https://www.apple.com/apple-card/

I really don't know how much simpler they could say it. I would encourage those who are still questioning what "no fees" means to check Apple's site and consider their own grasp of the English language.

So many places don't take Apple Pay. Not sure how I'd use it for online bills that require CC numbers. The rewards are OK, but given that most of my purchases would be in the 1% category (assuming I could even use it for some of this), it would definitely be a hard pass.

Will places accept a card with no numbers or signature? I doubt it

I don't know how it is in the US, but in Canada it's been chip and pin or touchless payment for many years. No cashier looks at the card anymore and the customer handles the payment terminal for the transaction. It's probably been 10 years since I've signed a credit card slip.

It's probably also why applePay isn't successful here. I don't know anyone who's ever used it and I've never seen anyone use it. You just tap your credit card on the terminal and you're done.

It's nothing more than an Apple branded credit card with a cool app, it's only for people who buy a lot of Apple products and services. The rewards offered are run of the mill - nothing to get excited over, the killer feature is the app - and that can be done at any time by any of the other banks already in this space.

Not sure what the worthy part is. I’d wait and see if Apple has anything more to say about it. There’s just better cards to get than this from what we’ve heard.

Sure, there are. The rewards are garbage. But it’s a $0 annual fee and will pad my credit profile. Plus the card has a cool factor. I’ll probably use it once in a blue moon but having it doesn’t hurt, only helps, so that’s why I’m going for it.

It has a CC number, it's just not printed on the card for security reasons.

Agree the rewards are just about average for a no fee card.

Yeah I almost never use Apple Pay but having it just in case has saved my ass more than once

For websites you can find the card details in the wallet app. And when you say “places that don’t take apple pay” I assume you actually meant places that don’t take contactless payment at all, which are the only ones where you can’t use apple pay at all, and now that’s only 30% of the merchants in the US (basically gas stations, hotels, sit down restaurants and a few persistent holdouts such as Walmart). You would certainly be able to use the titanium card at those places. And for those who where worried about a card with no information engraved being rejected, I just found a picture of the card on apple’s website and it does have a name on it. So presumably only the number is what’s not engraved.

But apparently the cardholder’s the name will still be printed, look at this image that’s shown right on apple’s website.

I use apple pay every time I see a tap machine. Unlock phone, double click the side button, bing, done. The only times I pull out my credit card are if they don't have tap (which is probably 15% of the time) and need to insert the chip into the reader.

I'm excited for the card, but I don't think I'll get one. My Mastercard World Elite gives me a **** ton of points I use for travel as well as other benefits like travel insurance.

They took that route because the "already banks" wanted too much in return. They are working with someone that in trade will give them more for less.

Data is more valuable than gold these days. They never said GS would not get our data, just that they wouldn't sell it for advertising or marketing. Legal-ease is a bitch.

I don't have a problem with not being able to put my signature on it...NONE of my three credit cards has a signature, and none have ever been rejected by the sales clerk. But how do we know our CCV number? I have to enter that online all the time. I suppose it will come in an email, along with the expiration date, and we just have to memorize them??

Card number/exp date/CCV will be in your apple wallet when you unlock your phone... it's just not physically printed on the card.

The CVV, full card number, etc., will show up in the Apple Pay app in case you ever need it.

Customers: “your iPhones are too expensive”

Apple: “we hear you and have this great idea...”

It’s a MasterCard. Your card number is on your phone.

A credit card. Tim Cook is Tim Boring. All these services (news, games, TV) are *****. Wake up. Like Facebook, the only way we’ll ever get anything better is to walk away.

I love Apple and many of it's products but I am really annoyed by how we in the UK always get the royal **** job when it comes to services. We are STILL waiting for Apple pay cash to launch here and I somehow think it never will launch and neither will Apple card. This is just taking the smeg something chronic and enough is enough. I know we in the UK are a small island and I know that American's look down their noses at us but we are still a nation that buys a lot of Apple products so it is about time we were treated as equals. I know that Trump wants America first but Tim Cook's America only approach with Apple is just a step too far!

The name probably isn't too much of a security issue and it helps you prove it's actually your card.

I think during the presentation she said it's accessible in the app on your phone.

That’s probably why Apple paired up with Goldman Sachs, a company with no banking legacy.

It’s not about the money. At the end of the day, it’s still about Apple taking an emerging product category with a frustrating user experience and deliver a polished product made possible by its control over both the hardware and software.

Goldman Sachs has an extensive banking legacy - about on par with Deustch Bank.
