You could have that same mentality about the vast majority of things Apple does... they're rarely the first out of the gate, but they are often the ones to expose new technologies to a wider audience. If you don't care, fair enough. I do, and I'm likely to switch from Spotify because the new service is more appealing to me.
Well then we just have to wait and see. I am sceptical but who knows.

People are saying why would I want to buy music, but I have no problem buying music.

I make a lot of playlists, and I have started making them on Spotify, and then after testing them out, then I download the songs onto itunes if I want to gift them to a friend, burn a CD etc. Wouldn't it be great if you make a playlist on Apple Music, and you could have the option to burn it or send a copy to a friend for the cost of the songs. I would happily pay $1.29 a song to send someone a playlist they could instantly download if they didn't have apple music.

It's surprising to me that with just 7 days to go until it goes live, there is still no price on Apple Music in most countries other than the US. Here in Canada, it's all but certain that the service is launching here with tv ads running very frequently on MUCH MUSIC and other general tv channels. But still no price? Can they still be negotiating with the labels?

^ The only "magic" I need is an option to sort track order within playlists. Like latest added track on top.
Spotify does not on iOS...

Well, we're on the 30th now and the UK site (and I'm assuming every site outside the U.S.) still only says Coming Soon. If this does end up as a U.S. only launch it's not going to set the world on fire. And if the other 100+ countries only get Beats Radio today with the rest of it still being negotiated then it's almost like a punishment :) What I've heard of Beats so far doesn't make me want to rush to it.

If, and I emphasise if, it is a U.S. only launch I wish Apple would say when they announce new features at the WWDC if the feature will be U.S. only to start. Although I guess it doesn't sound quite as impressive on stage does it? Yes, I know they said "launching in over 100 countries" (and if I recall that was only for Beats radio) but the "coming soon" text doesn't inspire confidence. To be honest, I'm happy with Spotify but I'd probably try the service at least.

From what i've read Apple Music is suppose to be in the IOS 8.4 update which will be available around 4pm UK time, i'm also waiting for it, i'm new to streaming music (i usually buy from iTunes) and want to give it a try with the 3 month trial. I don't think that we (i'm also from the UK) will be excluded, it makes more sense for Apple to include as many countries as possible from the start. From what i've read Apple have been working very hard to get as many record companies and artists to agree and sign up to :apple: Music. I think if it's done right :apple: Music could give Spotify a run for it's money.

Just seems so odd for it still to say Coming Soon. I still remember the fiasco that was iTunes Radio. We never got it, and as a result the radio aspect of Apple Music (not including Beats) will only be available if you pay unless you're in US or AU. So, I won't be holding my breath - for Apple Music coming today or an easy launch of iOS 8.4 for that matter. It's all just crying out to go pear shaped. :)

It seems like :apple:Music is available here in the UK, I've just updated to 8.4
