History....Excellence

History? Pompous much?

Yes History. Europe LOVES Apple, and anything Apple does Europe falls head over heels for. ALL MARKETS need iAds, it's the future of how ads will evolve onto the TV set. Stay Tuned.

It's going to be the biggest thing to happen in Europe since the Berlin Wall was torn down.

Not quite, but close. That was the iPad. ;)

Lucky them ( NOT).

I still have yet to see an iAd. If I see an app is ladened with iAds, I uninstall it or avoid like plague.

Your posts are always so strong and anti-apple. Why you should avoid an app with non intrusive ad if you pay 0 for it instead of some money? I have friends who have done a free app with a little iAd bar up. They will pay the work on it with ads. The app name is 1TapAlarm. Nothing wrong in it, i think you are just bashing everything Apple as in every news you comment.
Same argument for adMob and any other ad based system, if done right it is an advantage for everyone imho.

Yeahhhhh Apple just LOVES Apple mwahahah 6.8% market share here compared to 10% in the USA. we just LOVE it :p http://www.tuaw.com/2010/05/27/apple-market-share-climbs-to-6-8-in-europe/

why would we want more Advertisements, doesn't make sense.

Before commenting on stuff you have no clue about living all the way in California, why not live here before commenting.

There are iPads in Europe..... when did this happen???

But.... even more historical are Apple prices in Europe given the super strong American Dollar.

Actually Europe just woke up and realized they need Apple. Northern California is where the visions lay

Pay for quality, what's the issue?

Writing from Berlin...

Although Apple is doing well in Europe there is rather chunky and growing Anti-Apple mood over here.

We Europeans are kind of sick of your BS and are increasingly looking and spending our money elsewhere

Just a computer company, not that big of a deal.

iAds will be great for Europe.

Exactly.... thing is Nokia outsell Apple many times over in terms of handsets and services like Spotify are weening people off iTunes which makes them look elsewhere i think, plus the fact in many Eu countries the iPhone is available unlocked + on many if not all networks and it's still not really gaining market share compared to Android, People hate Ad's and this could actually be a negative for people.

I'm running iOS 4.2 in the UK and have seen a few iAds which have definitely been for a UK audience.

For example, Dove for Men adverts which were interactive and such with a UK map for local stores that sell their stuff (IIRC).

This leads me to believe that iOS might release very close to December, or in the December month itself. :(

I can't stand having Ad's on my Apps, I certainly don't think they are non-intrusive, I always pay for the update to get rid of the Ad's and if you can't do that then I simply don't buy the App, this is the worst idea Apple ever had as far as consumers are concerned, it totally ruins the aesthetic pleasure of the iPhone...I don't mind them on the Mac and i'm happy for the Developers but they just stick out like a sore thumb in my mind...

PS I liked your friends app, but the Ad ruins it...

I wonder though if the purchase price of popular apps will increase significantly now? If the developers make more money with free apps using iAd then the incentive to sell them for a dollar or two goes away.

A lot of apps ( read: Good Apps ) are under priced anyway IMO. The price doesn't reflect the amount of effort involved.

Hehe, yeah, we can't wait... We won't know how we could live without.

Apple's doing fine in Europe and all, but nobody over here will EVER say that it's great with more ads (except for advertisers and ad-companies) be it provided by Apple or somebody else. ;)

Like it or not, ads is what give your free stuff. Like TV, your favorite shows, etc.

I just saw my first iAds outside US and it looks great. Also, more money for developers. Don't like them? buy apps instead, no one wants for work for free

Oh noes. ads. Nothing useful. Just another way of apple to have profit.

Updated macbooks or 4.2? nah just ads.

You aren't qualified to speak for the landkreise you are from, never mind the whole of europe.

Apple are still growing in Europe.

I would stick with Linux, OS X or even Windoze. Red Star OS is crap.

I prefer to pay, than to have the frigging ads. But since the iPhone is way to expensive over here (to own and to use) it doesn't even matter.
Anyway I bet there's way to block those ads:D

BTW: I don't watch TV. I just listen to music, a lot. And I don't see people paying for anything. I buy music cd's but finding anyone with at least 10 cd's here it's a feat.

And yes nobody works for free. Developers / musicians / etc should be respected.

A little birdie told me that the iAd dashboard is showing a small trickle of revenue is already coming in from UK/GB and France. Your dove for men iAd helped pay someones bills!

Wrong, my posts aren't always 'anti-apple'. I dislike Apple's Mobile products, the rest is great.

Also, it is, my choice to avoid iAd apps, it is not mandatory that you must use them..
