The thing about Scott was that, while pretty much everyone else that left Apple was snatched up quickly by another tech company that knew their skills and worth, Scott wasn’t even asked to be on any tech companies board. I think that speaks volumes for his effectiveness as a leader in technology.

Although I agree completely with you as to Scot's skills.

I -believe- the reason he no longer works in tech. even to this day, is that Apple paid him a GODLIKE sum to not work for another company and not take even a hint of apple's ideas to anyone else, like Samsung or Google.

I have no facts to support this but I always thought it was super weird that he did not jump to another company even after a couple of years.

Or maybe he just burned out on tech, got a Diety-sized sum of money from an apple payout, and just decided to have fun and be a Broadway producer.

Nah, he doesn’t work in tech because no one in tech wants him. :) Some folks take a break, some folks get right into another company, but everyone at Apple that was valuable got into some other company OR was pulled back into Apple for special pet projects. It’s not really super weird. Employees talk, and if there’s no one that says “I’d REALLY love to work under/with (some person)!” then they’re not going to get hired. And, considering some of the “characters” in tech that still remain employed, he must have been even worse (OR didn’t bring enough to the table to offset the behavior).

Omicron is a cold, this is life now, much like the flu, yes some people can die but we can’t stop the world for it. The economy is already feeling the last couple years badly

Nobody’s stopping the world. That’s just overblown political rhetoric. We no longer have to travel by stage coach and meet in person every time we want to exchange information.

Natural disasters are always bad for the economy. Blaming other people because they’re taking steps to mitigate the damage instead of denying the reality of the situation is inane. You don’t get well faster by acting like a spoiled child and refusing to take your medicine or listen to the doctors. You just delay the recovery and make life harder for everyone involved, including yourself.

Over a million people are unable to work because of the long-term effects of Covid, which can include damaged heart, lungs, brain, and other organs. Businesses are over the US are struggling to cope with employee shortages. And you’re still spreading the Big Lie that Covid is just the flu?

That angry, glowering photo you use says a lot about your attitude, but not getting your own way doesn’t make you the victim here.

That sounds like it would have been exciting. Steve was such a great presenter, I wish he could come back from the dead and lead apple again (no offense to TC). Speaking of the poster you were talking about, do you still have it?

No longer have it. After hanging such posters in my room for a decade, the iMac posters eventually started to curl and tear along the (thumb-tacked) corners. The one with CEO Amelio's signature... although unique, I didn't think it would have much collector value, as no one would care about his signature. Now if it had been an original Steve Jobs signature.... then yes, it would be a rare collector's item worth keeping.

Strange. I could have sworn it’s a month earlier than at least the last few years as it always took place the first week of the summer holidays when I am a supervisor at a summer camp. I remember because I always watched the live feed at night after I checked on the house and that all kids were in their rooms.

WWDC is usually early June like this year, but in 2020 it was in late June. I don't remember why it was later in 2020, but I presume it was because of the pandemic.

I quarantined all summer 2020, took all precautions, im triple vaxxed, I got covid from being in the hospital for heart issues this past January. It was like a weak cold, yes it doesn’t affect everyone that easily but anyone who cares is well vaxxed now and should be able to
Handle it… at least as much as a flu which Also can kill people. It just seems silly to think these big corporations aren’t back to working normally like everyone else on the planet has been forced to for the last 2 years ??‍♂️ Everyone will eventually get covid no matter their precautions

No, it’s not. Weak colds don’t cause heart, lung, liver, and brain damage. Weak colds don’t one million Americans and leave another million unable to return to work. It’s no a weak cold, the flu, a hoax, a plandemic, or another of those other things conspiracy theorists told you. Saying that only makes you sound stupid.

Some people cannot get vaccinated because of medical conditions. Others will not get vaccinated because they listen to people like you who tell them it’s just a weak cold. And no vaccine is 100% effective. To control an epidemic, you have to treat the population, not just individuals. You should have learned that in high school.

Everyone will eventually get covid no matter their precautions

They will if they listen to an angry, glowering goth who thinks he knows better than the doctors. But it doesn’t have to happen that way, if we act intelligently.

I said for MOST, not all, much like the flu, a few people might have it worse ??‍♂️ Why is your reading comprehension so bad. Only idiots turn to name calling and attacking a person’s physical appearance when they have no real argument. Covid is the new reality. Mask mandates are gone, public events are back, work is back. And most people will get and get over covid just like any other virus now ??‍♂️

Hundreds of Americans are dying from Covid every day. That might be “few” to you, but some people give a damn.

Covid is the new reality. Mask mandates are gone, public events are back, work is back. And most people will get and get over covid just like any other virus now ??‍♂️

Most people will get Covid *because* extremists like you threw tantrums over masks, etc.

Your world is not “reality”. It’s fantasy.

You all called that “medical freedom” but you don’t want freedom. You can’t stand that companies like Apple are free make choices you disagree with. You want the entire world to do what you want them to.

The fact that thousands of developers would rather watch WWDC home with their wives, children, and pets than sit next to you and get sick seems to bother you to no end.

As to your appearance, well, you chose to post a photo that makes you look like a malevolent vampire. Surely, that was intended to send a message.
