Sure, a game mode for those handful games on macOS, most of which are arcade titles that barely uses 10% of apple Silicon GPU Power.
We all know Apple HATES and DESPISES game market since its inception. Let’s see how this pans out.

Where is DiabloIV damn it. Shows Stranding like its few years old games yet glitchy on that preview. Pathetic

Umm did you know the only reason Microsoft doesn't own ActiBlizzard yet is because of regulatory opposition?

And even said regulatory opposition is only concerned about the impact to the console market, not about alternative PC platforms?

Hell will freeze over before you see another ActiBlizz game on Macs...

Besides it has IAPs so not sure you can call it a game any more.

I honestly don't know why anyone bothers about games on a Mac. If you can afford the crippling price of a decent Mac and want games - then you can afford a console and/or a handheld device that will play better games in a better way.

Gaming on mac has always been laughable since macOS 10 (speaking of a faithful mac user who also had a PC for gaming).
So, while still nothing compared to windows, I'm at least seeing some movement in the gaming direction with regards to apple, after 20 years of pretty much giving up on the matter.
We got Death Stranding, Stray and REVIII, which is 0.1 % than the general landscape of gaming releases, but I'm still quite happy.
Apple silicon changed it all and we can expect studios which provided support, to keep doing so...maybe Death Stranding 2 on M4 in 2025?
Horizon Zero Dawn/Forbidden west in the future? (Given the run on the same engine).

I really think gaming on the mac will never be a thing, but it would be cool if a few big blockbusters would end up coming to the platform.

Since I already have Death Stranding on Steam, I'll try it on my M1 Ultra and I'll definitely pick up Stray as I'm currently without a gaming PC.

Apple's VR goggles could always be used for adult entertainment. With the exponential increase in sexless males, they are the prime demographic for such a product.

Giving the "pinch and flick" gesture a whole new meaning 🤣

Yeah I also own a gaming PC and a PS5 (I'm not into xBox, mostly because of MS's practices) but I'd like to be able to play Diablo4 on my Air when on the go or on vacation and not having to lug a heavy and thick 15" laptop together with its high brick...

Not really, hardly a drop in the ocean
Not talking about any PC ocean. You said there are 3 Mac gamers which was wrong. Also a game is considered good when it sales 100k units but I guess that's also a drop in your ocean.

Apple spent time and money to create a way to get devs to bring more games to their platform and people hate on it.

Seriously....

If anyone actually paid attention to the demo - they showed a DX12 game running using the tool they put out as open source. Chances are this should speed up programs like crossover to support DX12 games.

This is pretty neat, but I wonder how the games running on the M chips, or at least the M1 chips, compares to a Windows system with a decent - maybe mid range - video card.
I can only assume (hope) external GPU support is returning soon.
