I do wish I could partition my iPhone like I do with my Mac for Yosemite!

A couple big features came up that I nearly leaped in the air upon hearing them. The first was Messages and how you can now carry SMS over to your Mac. And the interactive notifications are definitely cool; both in the OS and on the lock screen. Every major update of iOS makes it less and less necessary to jailbreak. Which means Apple really is starting to acknowledge customer demand for features. My favorite quote from today's keynote was by Tim Cook: "I do read your emails!"

Disappointed there's no real multitasking/split screen with iOS 8...maybe they'll sneak that in with an incremental update.

Yosemite looks neat though. Will download the public beta...

Sorry that I'm a fun spoilers:
In many iCloud arrangements I had cheered... in times before NSA.
This organization is the most effective saboteur of genius computer networking IMHO

Interesting to note that once again Apple isn't ready to release anything until sometime this Fall. Steve Jobs ALWAYS had something to release to the public the very same day as his conferences.

I think this was an awesome WWDC, the best in a while or at least since SJ was around. Some of the features, along with Swift are fantastic.

If this is what they are showing at WWDC, imagine what they'll be showing in September! Tim Cook did mention they've got some incredible stuff in the pipeline....probably the first time I actually believe him....bring it on!

Every new version of iOS seems to take away at least one reason I jailbreak. In this case it's the messaging improvements - if I interpret what I saw in the Keynote correctly, they seem to be adopting a few things from biteSMS and/or Couria.

I'm glad for both a) that Apple is willing to look at what the jailbreak community does, and borrow from it; and b) the hard work that is put in every year by developers in the jailbreak community.

I love my Apple products.
I don't have an iPhone.
I can do these features on my Android phone.
Hey Galaxy or Hey Google.
Messaging interaction without leaving the app I'm in, etc.

Anyway...... Boring.....

Health ! Proceed with caution.

Welcome onboard Insurance Companies...Im really not sure I like the integration this set of apps offers. Sounds like an insurance company's excuse to print money. :(

Loved the OS 10.10 look feel and new features. :)

Developers are seriously going to make a fortune with this.

Not a single mention of iPhone 6 : ((((
Who expected a new iPhone mention or announcement at WWDC?

I noticed you only mentioned the features that you can do on Android but conveniently forgot to mention all the things you can't do on Android.

Does anyone have a screen shot of the slide with all the other iOS 8 features that they weren't able to go into detail on?

Let's get the thread started where everyone asks if the iOS8 beta needs a UDID on a developer account 1,000 times.

Oh, I think I really liked the keynote. New iOS 8 features are really good in my opinion. OS X Yosemite was incredibly good and honestly I thought iOS-like design would look bad on a Mac but it looked good, well except those buttons.
