what does the accelerometer do at a still standing device?
I was supremely disappointed in my HomePod and stopped using it. I found the sound quality awful with atrociously overpowering bass which drowned out the mids and highs. Plus Siri as a general knowledge assistant was awful too, the constant endless stream of "I have found something on the web, I have sent the information to your iPhone" when I would ask it a question drove me mad... you're a speaker, TELL me the answer out loud, my Google devices can.
Please nobody pay $299 for this thing no matter how rich you are.. Apple needs to stop being so damn tone deaf.... Just wait until they go on sale for $199 from third party retailers because nobody is buying it. I mean for FFS Apple if you are going to keep the price in this range, change the design a little or add some headliner feature.
This makes you wonder about a lot of things. This is the strangest product release ever
So either apple haven’t learnt a thing or this is just planned obsolescence of the OG HomePod
With that S7 chip, I can’t wait to now wear the HomePod on my wrist. I hope battery life is good.
I wonder if the sound quality is the same or better compared to the older one.
How so? The OG HomePod will still work as intended for the foreseeable future

They done this with the OG before it was discontinued though so it’s essentially the same price

uh what? This makes no sense, there is nowhere near enough change to make this one succeed while the other failed, they didn't drop the price and Siri is still ******* compared to Alexa in terms of AI
