The feature I want is for the “skip (intro/promo/recap/etc)” button to work again.

Anyone else having this problem? You hit it and it just freezes?

I always use it to turn my TV on or Off. My smart lights go on/off with it as well. Or I use my remote. It depends if I am walking in or out of the room, or if I am sitting down.

Point is. If you don’t want to talk to Siri. Don’t. If it works for you, do. Siri seems to work well for automations, but for other things it doesn’t. Google may work better but google is too intrusive in peoples lives/data.

Any word on AirPods Spatial audio for more than one pair? That'd be a cool way to take advantage of the beefier CPU, at least on the new ATV.

What can A15 do for us with the neural engine or better CPU cores. Can this enhance image quality or motion somehow? Can this do anything for me that the A12 couldn’t? (Besides be snappier at launching stuff)

Let me get this straight. Siri now listens for “Hey Siri” when using AirPods on Apple TV but Siri is still mute?

An Apple TV with A15 (not like the previous ones where any less powerful either) can’t process Siri voice but Apple Watch can since maybe S0?

I would like the option to say "Siri" instead of "hey Siri"
I use Siri on Apple Watch a lot simply because I don't have to say Hey Siri.

And experience on Apple TV would be miles better if we can click Siri button and talk instead of click and HOLD.

Can Apple just shoot Siri in the head....
Epic failure ...

Hey Siri, name the song....
Here is what I found on mcDonalds.
No
Hey Siri name the song.
playing from your library....
No
Hey Siri, name the song
I can't find that...

Siri you SUCK.
Maybe you are right!
"name the song"?

Maybe tries "What song is that?" instead?

They should finally allow setting up Siri on Apple TV in anything other than the local language. At the very least make English an option. I live in the Netherlands and as soon as I change the system language to English, Siri doesn’t work anymore. We are an English speaking household. Makes no sense to not be able to use it.

On the chromecast with Google TV (which we also used to own) google assistant just works in any language you set up.

The overall Apple TV experience is better than Google TV but this one thing is rather annoying. And can’t for the life of me understand why Apple can’t make this work.

I've only ever experienced frustration when using Siri on the Apple TV - then again the whole search function is appallingly unintelligent. For example, I've bought a season 1-8 set of Curb Your Enthusiasm - I ask Siri to play Curb Your Enthusiasm, and what does it give me - numerous options to buy the show, but none to actually watch the set that I have purchased. I can only imagine what LD would make of this...

That’s a pretty good hit rate to be fair. 😂

Hey Siri: Open the gate
Siri: You’ll need to unlock your iPhone first when you’re not driving.

Hey Siri: OPEN THE GATE!
Siri: Opening the gate

Maybe the tone of my voice made a difference.

Trillion+ dollar company, 11 years later, and Siri is still the worst virtual assistant. How Apple? ”Here’s what I found on the web” is by far the most common response I get.
Trillion+ dollar company, 11 years later, and Siri on Apple TV is not even available worldwide.

It is only available in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Korea, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, UK, US.

Nice one Apple.
