Too bad they're sold out here already, (Singapore). Just not enough to go around, eh.

I pre-ordered mine in Ireland on the 21st and still haven't gotten it! Says "Ships: 1 - 2 Weeks Delivers 03 Nov, 2011 - 09 Nov, 2011"

Maybe these countries can actually get their pre-ordered iPhones on the 11th

Same here in Belgium :( also ordered 21st, estimated shipping date: 2 Nov -9 Nov

I am just waiting for Apple to announce that the unlocked iphone 4S is available in the US. :)

They said November....but no specific date yet.

Ordered mine online on the US/Canada launch date and JUST got it last Friday!! Worth the wait. I'm also waiting for Siri to get some of it's features outside of the USA ... without location it's lacking some key features such as geo-fencing.

Apple should first fulfill orders of people still waiting in US before starting pre-orders for other countries. They are just making more and more people unhappy with this long waits.

Hong Kong local computer magazine has reported that the Siri will not work for Hong Kong till next year. We have got some unlocked iPhone 4S on last month from Australia and Canada. Even they are locked model. But the Siri just does work in Hong Kong at all. We have tested and reported it. So no one will buy it to employ the Siri as a new major function.

Because there's no support of the Google services in the city.

Why favour the US over others? Does it not make others unhappy not being able to get new products?

I spy with my little eyes "south Korea"

Looks like Samsung failed.

That should apply for all countries except the US, right?

I reckon other basic functions would still work, asking for weather, setting alarm and reminders, etc.

WTF are you talking about?

1. Siri works around the world, it just doesn't search business / shops outside the US yet (beta stage!)
2. Google services requires the INTERNET. And there are high speed internet connections EVERYWHERE in the city.

Hong Kong doesn't need Siri anyway, it's already noisy enough in this city! I don't want to have 25 iPhone 4S owners talking Chinglish to their Siri around me at any given moment ;-)

And all of the local tabloids will announce "SIRI SUCKS" on the next day :D

Just like the famous Japanese youtube video that criticizes Siri for not understanding "Waaatz weh-zar duday"

Looks like Samsung failed.

They haven't even tried anything in South Korea to fail. Samsung can't try to block until the 4S goes on sale. 'Twill be interesting what happens, however, as Samsung holds a lot of clout over here. The courts may just side with them. Better get mine before it all ends up in court.

I can't believe someone would actually post something like this.

Let's hope that Samsung does not pull this desperate tactic in South Korea:

Samsung are demanding the source code for iPhone 4S firmware
