I don't know how it's been in other countries but here (Sweden) it's been the smoothes launch yet IMO. Sure, sold out now, but there were still lots of phones delivered on launch day. My mom ordered on Tuesday and got it at the launch as an example.
Cant believe they are releasing iPhone 4Ss in bankrupt Greece where there are TONS of other healthy countries waiting anxiously!! 
Siri works perfectly fine outside of the US. The only think that does not work is location search.
You can still play music, create and review calendar appointments, create and review reminders including location based ones and ask about the weather or other topics.

Is crazy. I can not believe Apple bother to sell iPhone in Greece. Just sell to Germany and France and let the Germans and French give to Greece for free, like they give everything else to silly Greece.
Apple will get more sales in El Salvador than, ha ha, Greece. And Turkey is successful place, should have iPhone. Phil Shiller is in food coma or something. Wake up dude!

what about the US? When the unlocked one comes to apple store online in the US? It says coming in November. which November they mean? Since last month it says coming in November.

Not exactly if product is not released in other countries, consumers their dont have to play this wait and watch crap where after 2+ weeks of release of iPhone 4s still there is shortage of device in US market.
Also you wont get more than 4 million iphone sold in first 2 days at release in other coutnries like what happen in US.

Lol. You realize that Apple is a multi-national copreration? They will markert there products in an way that returns most profit.
Where I am the phone company that sells most iPhones, has taken down the large apple marketing stuff, in favor for nokias's N9, or what ever it is called.
If Apple doesn't continue the momentum of international releases, they will loss market share, because unlike most of us here at MacRumors, if people see another company's merchandise that seems newer and more sexy than Apple's offering, they won't chose Apple.
Question, I am Korean living in the US, when this is released to korea, does this mean I can use my iPhone 4s american one but use it as korean siri!!! that would be so awesome if it was possible!!!

I am just waiting for Apple to announce that the unlocked iphone 4S is available in the US.
They said November....but no specific date yet.
Me too. A friend of mine is flying to NZ from the US on the 24th of November, so it needs to be in her hands before then. With 1-2 weeks shipping, the unlocked 4S needs to be released in the next week or so to be safe.
I could wait for the NZ release, but I don't fancy paying an extra few hundred dollars.
NZ - falling from FIRST IN THE WORLD for the 3G to among the last, in just 3 years. Go Vodafone go!
My wetted 4 is really threatening to kick it with flickering and fading out display, so this is timely, although as others point out it will probably be more expensive to outright one here than to import unlocked! Guess we'll see in a few days.

That could actually happen, with computers becoming even more popular, I don't know any programming languages written in French.

I mean 6+ GSM iPhone Carriers, all which offer unlocking.

A settings file for Telecom is now available on Apple's servers. It's possible that Telecom will officially sell the 4S, and the delay may be related to Apple needing time to come to an agreement. This is just a guess though and we'll find out whether Telecom gets it in a few days
