Not bad, but i'll have to see with my own peepers.

- Spotlight : online search only for U.S users :p

iCloud Drive looks promising, but i hang on like a tiger by my claws if i don't like something that's bee done in the past.. like hacks..

Apple may bring me hog dogs to try and tempt me, but I'm happy with Drop box.

However if they do "streaming per page" (eg u don't need to wait for 50MB pdf to download just start reading), then this may make me to switch.

- Mail, if i heard this mail, attachments too big will be stored i iCloud with a link in email ?

This would be good, however knowing Apple's history with iOS and not encrypted attachments, i wonder if a repeat will be here too.

- Safari, I like a birds eye view,, who doesn't :) just as long as i don't fall.

Private tab browsing = cool..

Just like Firefox.

Apple Announces OS X Yosemite with Improved Cross-Device Connectivity and New...

Reading the fine print.

OS X v10.10 Developer Preview 1 is pre-release software. Do not use this pre-release software in a commercial operating environment or with important data. You should back up all of your data before installing this software and regularly back up data while using the software.

No, its not safe.

Thanks. My data is backed up however I wonder whether Adobe apps work with 10.10 though

'Oh no, my life is so boring that I need to be constantly entertained by UI tweaks of a computer OS for the rest of my life in order to be happy.'

Personal insults are not a good idea.

Thank you.

And I agree with your arguments about buttons. With my eye condition and their new everything light approach, a text based button is counterproductive because I have to actually look for it instead of being able to glance. And the color button option added in iOS 7.1 is not as ethically pleasing to me.

You and me both, I am super excited to try this and a few other features out when it finally hits the app store.

I just wish developers wouldn't force their storage on you. Apple does it (but i don't mind since I use it), but like MS Office is crucial for me, but I don't like the OneDrive only thing. If they would just add an "open in" option.

Do you have anything relevant or useful to add to the topic? or are you just one of those trolls that just speaks for the sake of it because they are needy for attention?

Sorry, I thought humor was not yet banned around here. My mistake.

Enjoy your (internet open forum) serious talk! :)

... Anyone left with a good taste at Apple?..

Aqua is dead and gone. Everything is flat, except the Game Center bubbles. I don't know how someone can ruin the interface so much. And it's not just a beta issues, it needs a total redesign in order to become usable again.

I do have some issues with ios7 and Yosemite. But aqua was getting dated. The brushed aluminum windowing was always horrible. Apple will leave it in itunes for windows out of spite.

To my eye the dock icons are huge-- and they may have killed this--dock animations on click are so tacky. The 3d dock with reflections was unforgivable.

You're missing the point entirely. We don't need those linkages any longer, people have learned how to interact with GUIs. Apple talked about this at last year's conference, there was a great session on why they made decisions about UI in the past (with the first touch OS release) and what they think about it today and going forward what they're doing with the whole notion of UI design. It may not be what you have learned regarding pushing buttons, but you have the basic skills to figure out the new way, and once you learn it, you don't need to learn it again. To me, even Mavericks looks outdated, I can't wait to see and use Yosemite

I think you miss the point. Text-only buttons will always be less usable and less intuitive even if you use it daily. When a button has a shape, you can just glance at it to get this is a button and not some kind of a label. It happens instantly, in any app, in any new app, with any button design. But when a button has no shape, you always need to read it first and then make a guess if it's a button or not. The process is not intuitive, fast and automatic. It's not about pushing something, it's about marking something clearly.

Once again, most changes in OS X is actually changing it for the worse, specially as a stand-alone product. I do believe it makes iphones better, but if you only buy a mac, mavericks is better.

And regarding the interface...this is how windows users see us...they used to be wrong, but after yosemite and iOS 7, they are absotlylty right.

I can't remember the last time apple dedicated so much to software alone and I definitely don't remember a release with this much in it - I've been following these events for 12 years. This is after all the WWDC and not a hardware exhibition. This was apple going back to its core basics and I for one thought it was brilliant.

I've never liked the artificiality of the 3D. For me at least this is a step in the right direction. It's just time for us flat landers.

I doesn't matter to me I want an iOS that, my iPhone 5 can handle! Doesn't Matter to me any of these features my phone can't handle iOS 7.

These flat grafix are boorish. hopefully the iPhone 5s will not be sluggish with this like all the other upgrades from apple.
