How do you "clear" your cache in Apple Maps? It still not showing up on my phone even if I did the 15.4 update to try to "reset" the cache. I'm located in Montréal.

I really like this stylized look for the 3D landmarks.
To be honest in 2022 Apple Maps, while not as complete as Google Maps, it's 100% usable and I actually prefer the simple nature of the app.
I have been using Apple Maps exclusively for the last year and I experienced no issues.
Considering I'm de-googling (removing as many google products from my life as I can) this is wonderful.

A 3d render of the washed up barge on sunset beach would have been a nice addition in Vancouver.
Well looked it up on the news and wow, pretty messy someone got fired for that lol. Otherwise not a bad update I still think Google is more complete and up to date with public transport.

And they do it all to steal your data.
They have that an IP address requested a map of that section of the world?

Eh. Have fun with that data.

It's not like Apple isn't making money off of the exact same thing - Apple just does so indirectly so they can pretend they're clean. What is Google paying Apple billions of dollars for? It's a business transaction - Google is getting something out of it. And that's data on Apple users. Again, not directly, but Google isn't just sending that money over for fun - it's clearly a money maker for them because they're spending billions of dollars per year on it.

Right because most people don't bother changing the default search engine on their iPhone/iPad/Mac which is Google.

Toronto looks great in 3D for landmark buildings like The Hockey Hall of Fame (Toronto being one of the original six NHL Teams). Specifically due to the taller buildings surrounding it it’s great to still be able to zoom in.

Don’t worry it’ll keep improving.
Every few months I try Apple Maps but every time I conclude that Google Maps has better directions (Toronto).

I guess with this update I’ll have to try it yet again.
What? Lol. Each are just as good for directions all over Toronto and the GTA especially for driving or walking.

Cycling trails pails in comparison to Google

Dunno about cycling and hiking trails, but for driving Google has in the past had better routing during rush hour in Toronto. It's not the directions in general, but the directions when there are traffic issues.

But like I said, now that it has been updated, maybe it has improved. It's been about 4-5 months since I've last checked.

They actually have the lane setup on Autoroute Bonaventure as it was during construction, not as it is currently. That’ll be confusing for people not familiar with the place (just looking at it, it makes little sense and I drove there every morning for a while)

Interesting (weird?) choice of landmarks for Montreal…

The Bell Centre?
Orange Julep?

What about bridges, historical buildings?

?‍♂️
Orange Julep maybe because it was so easy to model ??‍♂️

I’m curious which other buildings would be on the list… off the top of my head:

• Jacques-Carter Bridge
• Champlain Bridge (the mid-dismantling old one would be a funny touch too)
• Marché Bonsecours
• Place Bonaventure
• Place des Arts
• Palais des Congrès
• Cathédrale Marie-Reine-du-Monde
• Botanical Garden/Insectarium

Love the Timmies in your 3rd pic. Now that is a Canadian landmark even if there are a few thousand of them.

Le Brassiere Molson predates most of those They should also add Schwartz deli and Fairmont bagel if you want landmarks.

Great, just ~500 Cities with more than 1 Mio. people left. With this speed, apple finishes in around 50 years - with them.
