You'd think us developers would get the GM today so we can submit our apps using final X Code 4.5 and not beta 4.

just super glad to get siri on the new ipad. gonna be awesome. i'm so so so tired of having to touch all my idevices, finally, i can just talk to it for everything.

so with integrated siri/ios6, how soon until states will start outlawing "verbal texting while driving"

Will there be a GM of iOS 6 out soon and if so will it require my device's UDID to be registered as a developer device?

Why is it being released for the iPhone 3Gs (June 2009) but not the iPad 1 (March 2010)?

I'm not complaining as much as I am just wondering. I do own both devices and wish the iPad 1 could get it, but I'm not going to lose sleep over it.

And we who made Apples icrap successfull by buying the original ipad are still left out in the cold! Shame on you!:):(:rolleyes::eek::D

Great - NO turn by turn in Australia for iOS6. Yet there is in countries like Botswana???

Apple - you are going down the toilet. Disappointment at every turn with iphone 5 and iOS6.

Pun INTENDED.

.

That part isn't Apple's fault. It's the software developers' and whomever is in charge of installing (keeping up-to-date) the 4G/LTE networks and other computer and cellular type stuff. They have to get their asses in gear. Unfortunately not something they're renowned for in any part of the world.

No to the latter.

I can confirm this is bull ****.

I have just manually restored the Gold Master image to my iPad 3 and it has verified with Apple servers and restored/installed without any hacks or jailbreaks. This iPad 3 has *never* had its UDID registered as a developer device nor has it ever been hacked or jailbroken.

Siri works perfectly (without any proxies) and it has been fun (never used it before).

I think ghostface147 was saying "nope" to "will it require my device's UDID to be registered as a developer device?" He (or she) was correct in that the UDID is not needed to be registered. You even confirmed it yourself. So have I ;)

I'm surprised the 3Gs is still being supported. I guess I'm just bitter that my iMac G5 with iSight lost support really early.

Speaking about the OS... So now developers have to account for iOS devices with either the older Cortex SOC's like in the 3GS, A4, A5, A5X, or A6 processors, all of which have markedly different performance, 480x320, 940 X640, 1136X640, 1024x768, or 2048x1536 displays amongst multiple screen sizes, and, fragmented firmware versions as some users are still stuck on iOS 3 or 4, many iPad 1 users on iOS 5, and some now migrating to iOS 6, but wait, this is not fragmentation at all…. How funny that Apple bashed Android every time, but goes and does the same thing…

Granted, I really don't know **** about developing apps, but wasn't the big complaint of Droid users not being able to upgrade a two year old phone? At least people that bought 3GS and are still under contract will get the upgrade. Right?
I bought a 32 GiG 3GS brand new in the box for $200 March, 2011 and gave it to my girlfriend. I think it's great that she can still upgrade to ios6.

(The 3GS was for me until I bought a 4 for $300 after the 4S came out. We're both non-contract straight talk users.)

I'm torn about upgrading my 3Gs, if I do and there are problems can I revert back to iOS5?

I wasn't going to update it because I was planing to get the new iPhone but now I find out it won't work with my Leopard powered G5 so no sync to my contacts and music until I get a new iMac which we are still waiting on new of the 2012 model!!!

Just a few days until the single most exiting iPhone related announcement of the year so far will finally be available.

I heard the new Maps arent going to feature directions for walking or public transportation? Only driving directions. Anyone know if thats confirmed and if they are going to put that feature in later? I constantly search google maps for train times.
