Apple's marketing chief Greg Joswiak today said the Vision Pro will be launching in South Korea and the United Arab Emirates on Friday, November 15.

In a press release for South Korea, Apple said the Vision Pro will be available to pre-order there starting Monday, November 4 at 10 a.m. local time. In another press release, Apple said pre-orders in the United Arab Emirates begin on the same day at 5 a.m. local time.

Apple now has localized Vision Pro and visionOS 2 pages in South Korea and the United Arab Emirates with more details. In South Korea, Apple said customers will be able to schedule a 30-minute Vision Pro demo at an Apple Store in the country. Apple said it plans to share more details about this experience after pre-orders begin.

Apple first released the Vision Pro in the U.S. in February, with pricing starting at $3,499. In June and July, the headset launched in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, the U.K., China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore. With the additions of South Korea and the United Arab Emirates, the headset will be available in 12 countries and regions.

In July, research firm IDC estimated that Vision Pro sales would total less than 500,000 units this year. In a recent interview, Apple CEO Tim Cook acknowledged that the Vision Pro is not a mass-market product due to its high price.

"At $3,500, it's not a mass-market product," said Cook. "Right now, it's an early-adopter product. People who want to have tomorrow's technology today—that's who it's for. Fortunately, there's enough people who are in that camp that it's exciting."

Smells of desperation in trying to deplete the remainder of early 2024 stock. From what I hear, it just isn't selling anywhere and Apple is overstocked now.
We'll soon know how overstocked apple is based on the size of the Black Friday sales price.

Yeah, I’m actually kind of surprised that Apple is stopping production as if they have enough stock but they’re actually opening in more countries? So not only can they not go through the stock in this country but they can actually spread it out to other countries? How low isthis selling?

They really need that cheaper version to come sooner than later

It's been available here in Australia for a few months now, and i honestly don't know a single person that owns one; nor have i ever seen anyone use them in public.

Admittedly there's zero hype about it; i've never seen any advertising for it. If it weren't for the fact that i'm on this forum; im doubtful i'd have even known it was a thing.

Edit: Had a quick look at the apple website to make sure it actually did launch here; and yep.
But i can probably guess why no one owns one

With the news coming out that they’re actively working on an M4/M5 version they’ve already alienated their remaining potential customers (such as myself) because this current iteration is far too expensive when it’s already obsolete behind closed doors. Like, why doesn’t this have Apple Intelligence yet? It has more than enough power.

Probably would've done better with an international release originally. By now the initial hype has gone away.

I tried it here in Shanghai at an Audi event showcasing their history and the new Q6 EV and such and it was meh screen is good but lack of controllers really kills it. As a developer I will probably release one of my VR games on it if Apple pays enough but I can see why even rich people here do not want to buy it. Especially woman (who would get it as a gift in China) who hate their hair and make-up messed up by VR headsets like this especially during the sweaty summer season.
4210 USD vs $3499 in US
4420 USD vs $3699 in US
4630 USD vs $3899 in US
Higher price makes sense, we have a lot of rich people and the rest will not even consider buying it. I know someone who has a Tesla Cybertruck and can only drive it inside their compound as it is not road legal, but he wanted to show it off to his other rich friends.

I read that as “Apple Announces Vision Pro Two Launching in More Countries” and was so confused that they released the second gen already!
