I mean I get what you’re saying but yes and no. The iPod came out and then a year (?) later all those same features were part of a lower cost, smaller iPod. I could see that happening. The next vision (not pro) being a feature complete version of this product … but cheaper.

Yes, a Vpro "Jr" as I've called it (or "not Pro" as you are calling it) could easily come out at a lower price by taking away whatever features to make it a Junior or Not Pro.

The one as is will likely pop into the Refurb store at any time now at maybe 10%-15% off too. That will be the SAME Vpro at a fairly meaningful lower price.

However, defining lower price becomes the key. Whether Refurb, Junior or Not Pro, I see no path to 50% or lower "lower price" as called for by many people in these forums without substantial cuts to Vpro features & benefits, likely starting with 4K per eye. Since cheaper competitors do exist with 1080p lenses at the price points people wish to see Vpro, I presume Apple could make a Vpro "Not Pro" Junior with 1080p lenses for down at those prices too. Prices I commonly see tend to range from about $500-$1500... with a few going as high at $2K. But even $2K is 43% lower than the "starting at" price now. I'd like 43% off Macs, iPhones and iPads.

The question would then be: do these people want a significantly downgraded Vpro "junior." Or would the gripes at the one now priced "down there" be that it is not appealing with such dramatic downgrades to features... as we've seen several times when Apple has made a play to roll out a "gimped" iPhone at a cheaper price and similar.

In other words, I suspect much of the whine is only seeking the SAME quality for 50% of lower pricing. I see no near-term path there as a "new" device without significant hardware compromises.

But- that said... again- I'll hope right with everyone else... and hope the same for Macs, iPhones and iPads too at 50% or lower pricing without taking any features & benefits away.

We’re getting another environment! Finallllly. Lol.

They didn’t talk about how some of the stock apps got updated. Lol.
They NEED to get rid of that HUGE purse of a battery dangling by a long cable!

Entire product needs to be seriously minimized and cost 1/2 the current price in the next generation. Please!

If you want an AVP at a 30-40% discount, buy it used. It'll probably be just as good as an Apple refurbished unit as the original owner likely never used the thing.

They've brought eye tracking to iPhone and iPad in iOS 18. It's in its infancy, but I doubt that's just for accessibility reasons. The sooner they get eye tracking to work with less hardware, the faster they can release a less expensive AVP.

I actually like the battery the way it is. It reduces weight from the device plus I can replace the battery myself at any time or have multiple and swap them.

Right, Vision Pro is the one modern Apple device with a user replaceable battery!

You're saying that now because the current Apple Vision Pro is a HEAVY BULKY Unit!

Needlessly so to be quite honest!

If next year Apple was to significantly reduce the size by 50% that alone would allow for less components and significant weight drop.

Curious ... why can't the Apple iPhone Pro/Pro Max or plug in directly into an iPad Pro M series or MacBook Pro M series laptop power the unit? Its designed to augment the existing computing platforms not fully live on its own, even though it can in limited time. Its strengths are to agument existing hardware and software ... so why not have THOSE devices power it?

Things that make you go hmmm.
