Notice how the '2' takes on the light and colour of its surroundings – the blues & purples of the adjacent 'C'.
I suspect this environmentally aware 'frosted glass' will be an aesthetic quality of the new operating systems.

This image is leaking all over social media, including in several subreddits: Apple may also be working on a new 12 inch premium MacBook that they might release in a couple of years.
An image that's at least 9 years old is "leaking" all over social media? 😂

Great... Then they can announce what could possibly, maybe, kinda sorta, will be in IOS 19, and will get delivered over the next 9 to 18 months (or longer). Oh boy, I can't wait. Actually I can...

Sorry, but I think that Apple is now turning into a Marketing company, meaning that the marketing department announces what they think they have to, to stay competitive, regardless of weather the design teams can do it, or do it in the promised timeframes.

Announcements are done WAY in adavance of delivery now, and even then, dates are getting missed. The whole "buy an iphone 16 and get the new AI", was ridiculous. I think internally they know that AI is going to sell phones (weather it should or shouldn't), and they threw a "Hail Mary", hoping they could catch up some this year. Instead they fell further behind.

Anyway, I personally won't bother watching WWDC 2025. It's not like we can count on what they announce anyway.

I liked it more because of the instant feedback. Apple could hear what excites people or what angers people.

I dreamed of yelling at Steve on stage to support Adobe Flash on the iPad. Turns out, I was wrong about that. What a fool I would've been.

I'm still disappointed that they went and added Stage Manager, which was so promising yet unfinished, and then didn't do anything with it at all for a few MacOS versions. Maybe this time!
ah yes, the macOS feature that I forgot about.
I could not use Stage Manager because I have widgets on my desktop. I don't want stage manager covering my widgets.
Plus in Sequoia we have true window snapping and we always had command + tab or Mission Control.

forget about the apple intelligence mess or the current software inconsistency or the vision pro flop or anything else

1. this design is among the cleanest apple event invites i’ve ever seen, up with april 20 2021 and sept 15 2020
2. this is a huge hint to apple going all in with the glossy design language, and if they actually do put all their time into it, i am so here for it
3. the event being on june 9th is perfectly perfect (for reasons that may or may not be entirely obvious)

a small part of me hopes that wwdc25 will be one to remember (cuz wwdc24 REALLY wasnt)
It is National Donald Duck day.

It is unfortunate that Apple will not do a live WWDC especially with everything that has been going on. How are we to believe that what we are seeing when they demo something isn't a bullshot?

Well, we will see if I am selected to attend this year. Missed the last two of them, maybe third time?

Oh so combining of the two w's is a sure sign macOS and iOS are getting merged. Can't wait to run macOS apps on my iPad. lol

Given only a third of customers ever engage with it I wonder if they'll just scrap Siri 2.0 altogether and instead relegate it to an accessibility feature instead? I'm not convinced anyone uses it for anything more than timing an egg or checking the weather and am happy to be proven wrong.

Happy to have iOS19 tidy up the visual identity a bit and address the increasing complexity of smart devices. Most of the functions are never used because people don't know how to even make them work. I'd like a circular icon masking option

MacOS needs a Snow Leopard year of stability. I think we'd all be happy with that one.

iPadOS needs the most love. No, it doesn't need to be made into a Mac but it could really do with Finder being ported over, the widget dashboard being killed off so you can access the 'stage' interface on a cold homescreen and notifications being added to the dead space on the control centre screen. I'd also like to be able to embed lockscreen complications on the homescreen as well for a cleaner desktop.

There isn't much they can do with WatchOS but they could bring the Watch app to iPad and Mac.

tvOS is perfect the way it is as it gets out of the way of the content. The settings app is a mess and needs tidying up though. A new A18 model of ATV wouldn't go a miss either.

The one place that needs Apple Intelligence is iCloud.com.
No, they will not scrap it. Apple will get back on track and Siri will eventually become what we want and what they advertise. They had some pretty big setbacks and there were some very bad decisions made but do not count Apple out. The other assistants are not perfect either. I also have a Pixel 9 Pro and sometimes Gemini is just plain junk.

As far as people using Siri I use it for Smart Home control, reminders (location reminders are wonderful), calls, texting, calendars, music, timers...etc. Sometimes I use it for general info but that is hit or miss and very frustrating so I am definitely looking forward to a much smarter Siri. Just because you don't use it does not mean its useless.

Man I miss live events. Mac World events used to be the best events. Actually connecting with people and developers in real life. Novel concept now.

At this event they have the chance to make things right… but instead they will give us a Windows Vista interphase. How about allowing dual app support with Stage Manager lite. And when we are at it give us real external display support. Nd an archive button for iMessages. Thanks

The only feature I am looking forward to is Apple supporting Auracast, which current AirPod Pro can support.

Oh I use it all the time. It’s much better at picking up song track names on a HomePod than Google Home ever was. I often set multiple timers, ask the time if I wake in the night and multiple daily reminders. Can’t say I’ve ever had a problem with it to be honest.
