Boo! :(

I prefer cooler (aka more white) screens than yellowish ones, same as the lightbulbs in my home. Really wish Apple would at least give us the option to control it manually either way. Would also reduce a lot of the "I've got a yellow screen!" type of returns for them.
Seriously! We can do it on macs. Why not iPhones and iPads.

Maybe "useless" for you. Not for everyone. I find it quite a relief to not blast my eyes with blue light late at night. There's a growing body of research supporting the link between light exposure and melatonin production.

Yah, and none of that has anything to do with White vs Orange lighting.

An amazing mix of the cool tech behind "filtering out the blue light" and the trashiest interface in the App Store.

If my screen looked Yellow first thing i would do is turn off NightShift of not use this app.

No doubt every man and his dog will see a Night Shift-kind of looking app.. They all jump on board like a bunch of wabbits.

Have a healthy lifestyle with regular sleep patterns and do some exercise - and you will fall asleep with no problems no matter what your frikkin' display color temperature is.

Or, and here's a wild idea, don't leave your display turned on all night while you're asleep and not using it.

Don't really understand why anyone would buy this with Night Shift days away. But if the dev was smart it would .99 it pronto & get what it can while it can.

BTW I enjoy Night Shift. It's easier on the eyes at night, especially w/ no other indirect light.

Far from wanting to diss the devs, but Apple should definitely enforce some sort of UI æsthetics.

That that looks like neon urine. I will stick to f.lux.

Agree. Was just about to hit "buy" button, then realized I can just wait a week for 9.3, as well as possibly not be subjected to additional bugs introduced by this app. Of course assuming Apple's version is less buggy lol.

How many people will buy and install this app only to complain later that they got a bad display with a yellow tint? :)

Difference is F.lux is free while Apple gets a 30% cut of every FlexBright app purchase. Paid apps have preferential treatment over free ones.

How the heck are these guys doing these system-wide adjustments without using private APIs?

And if they can do this, shouldn't we be able to do system-wide full screen calibration (including hardware-based)?

As an iOS dev, this was my thought exactly. I'm unaware of any such mechanism that would enable this. Please explain.
