Apple Approves 'Notch Remover' App for iPhone X

Guess what? Not only has Apple not removed this app, instead they have approved a new update! Wow!

Just goes to show that what any of us finds appealing or acceptable is highly subjective.

The Sharp Aquos Crystal was a phone that was bezel-less on 3 sides. The front facing camera was located in the bottom "chin". Those on this site who knew about the phone, criticized the design stating that the lack of symmetry was distracting. Interestingly, those very same people have "embraced the notch" (which is more distracting because it intrudes on the rectangular space of the screen).

The notch on any other phone would be the worst design decision ever made!

Because, it's Apple! Well, of course it's the best design ever! The best they could have done!

I love Apple products but the notch is just plain ridiculous! Sure, I can imagine some people will defend it because they have purchased it! (amazing how you defend something when you own it). It grows on you. Sure it will, you spent £1000 on a phone with a notch!

Poor design and not with Apple's ethos or Jony Ive's design philosophy!
