Apple Arcade Gains 'Game of Thrones: Tale of Crows'

Apple regularly adds new games to its Apple Arcade gaming service, and this week's new title is "Game of Thrones: Tale of Crows," which is described as a real time idle game, where time passes even when you're not playing.


Players take on the role of a member of the Night's Watch, guarding Westeros from the horrors beyond the Wall. Players will send out expeditions beyond the Wall and into the North, and the expeditions will continue while the game is closed.

Notifications will let players know if something happens, and while playing, players will encounter unknown dangers, face enemies, and make allies all while making decisions that will ultimately shape the history of the Night's Watch.
In the shadow of the Wall, your watch begins. Eight thousand years before Jon Snow took the Black, the Night's Watch was formed to secure the Wall and defend the border of Westeros against the perils of the North, and all that lies beyond. Into these untamed wilds, sworn brothers and their allies set out on rangings to face the dangers that would threaten the realm. But the Wall is a blade that cuts both ways.

Guide the decisions of Lord Commanders through the seasons and mount expeditions beyond the Wall. As ravens travel to and from your expeditions in real time, their messages are delivered to you throughout your day. Respond with your command right away, or whenever you see fit.

Long is the history of the Night's Watch, and many are its stories forgotten. It's time the realm remembers them.

Completely agree. I'd be okay with most of the last season if the final two episodes weren't total ****. Bran as the king? GTFO

Let's be honest with ourselves. It was crap :)

The throne should have gone to Danny, Jon Snow, or hell even the zombie of Ned Stark would have been a better king than Bran.

Funny thing about GoT is, nobody I know wants to rewatch it because seasons 7 and 8 were complete ****ups... such a shame how a series I usually recommended to anyone as one of the best series ever turned into complete *****. I can easily rewatch Breaking Bad, The Sopranos or even LOST, but I never even think about watching GoT again.

On topic: some gameplay footage would’ve been nice... I have no clue what you have to do in the game.

is this what makes it a bad season? i haven't seen the last one yet but i really don't care who gets the throne.

Worst game description of all time. Literally the only action other than "take command" is to "send watchmen/crows" to explore beyond the wall. Tells me absolutely nothing about gameplay or WHY I should even bother.

No, the overall writing is just bad since season 6 (that’s about when they left the books completely). Soap opera dialogue, flat characters, plot holes... and just stupid decision everywhere.

I used to be a die hard GoT fan with countless rewatches of prior seasons, and I yet still haven't rewatched since S8.
Once was enough, a bittersweet ending indeed GRRM.

For me personally, S08E02 is where it all ended. When all of our favourite characters were singing along as Winter came marching towards Winterfell, where Night King butchered them all. 😭

Just what I want from a game, interruptions throughout my day!
Maybe some people like that kind of constant nagging but it’s a huge no thanks from me. Too bad, the theme of the game otherwise could have been fun.

“The white walkers are coming, get everyone to the crypt!”

the worst was the plot armor though. This show cut its teeth wiping out actors you thought were “safe“. The was one battle where at least 3 of the main characters were shown in unwinnable situations, but somehow they made it through.

Reasoned criticism about individual seasons aside, it was ALL a soap opera. You can like it or not, but don't pretend you were not watching a soap in season 1-4.

Have to agree but not about LOST, most overrated show on earth. Good buildup to become utter trash. And if LOST ending wasn’t bad I don’t know what is. Also dream/coma season of sopranos Can be skipped.

More like soft porn I would say. Only reason it got so many viewers. Nudity sells even if no one admits it.
